Mind If I jump in as dorf #5?

BTW I'm also somewhat of a newbie so if you don't want me to join I completely understand. I thought this would be a great way to see how other people play, and to get to know a few of you better.

Sort of a trial by fire.

Sure. Does anyone want this to become a succesion?

As it turns out, the pen was in fact a poor choice for melee combat in comparison to the sword.
So I just started playing this game and I accidentally nuked the moon.

Whats the difference between a community fort and a succession game? I thought they were the same?

Also will you be using a tileset? Because I cannot play with ASCII, its just too confusing for me.

Community is just dwarfing and telling a story, while succesion is going from player to player. Also, I don't use tilesets. I learned via Magmawiki. I think you can switch though. Take off any tilesets at the end if you can.

OK. Succesion now. No dwarfing anymore. Take as long as you need for your year, but don't take too long. Already dwarfed dwarves will stay dwarves.

The save. We have 2 empty beds, a legendary miner, 4 wells, workshops and furnaces, stockpiles, defense, militia, bridge, outside entrance building, mine, dining room, and meeting hall.

List is in front, version is 31.12, and it is one year per person.

There were a few mining designations at the bottom z-level of the fortress. The normal mine command should work. Tables and chairs would also be nice. There is an aquifer. we have plenty of trees too. Just order a random guy to mining operation, he should pick up our extra pick and mine. Are you using 31.12?

yea i switched over to 31.12

DUDE! Theres no booze anywhere in the fort!

I have ordered two dorfs who are not doing much to farming, and I have dedicated two plots to plump helmet.

Hopefully they can last long enough to till they sprout and I can make booze!

Edit: A wave of 19 just showed up...
