CoveredPaint - SUCCESION NOW
« on: October 06, 2010, 03:43:20 pm »

Coverpaint is beside a fresh water lake. I also have a mega project in mind - an underwater fortress. Depending on if the lake freezes or not this will vary in diffuculty.

As it turns out, the pen was in fact a poor choice for melee combat in comparison to the sword.
So I just started playing this game and I accidentally nuked the moon.

Great.  ;D

PROGRESS
We have dug a temporary long term fortress into the ground. We have several workshops and their respective stockpiles set up. #5 is now hunting with the wooden bolts just made at the craftdwarves workshop. Butchers workshop is soon to come.

I'm not very risk-adverse, so I'll take the miner :)

I would love to join but none of the current members have either of the two skills I want, so first migrant rush may I get a weaponsmith who is a part-time hammer or axe-dwarf?

You are in! Our cook has been creating masterpiece easy meals.
PROGRESS
The farm has too much water and such I am preparing a flood room. Then we shall have our plump helmets! The smelter is getting coke out and our barracks is getting dug. I am preparing an underground well from the aquifer. We are getting tables and chairs for our not so done dining room and a special meeting hall is being built. A statue garden will come soon. Also, our hunter has been hunting groundhogs. Carp. YYYEEESSS! Graebeard is now a legendary miner in the first year. It's early Autumn by the way.

What are you using me for? I'd like to become a doctor when I (or the fortress) grow up, or am I a woodworker/farmer??

Currently your doing a bit of everything. Making bolts, crossbows, coke, charcoal, etc. But considering you are the one with the most doctor skills you will probably be a doctor, maybe even the one on the nobles screen(forgot name). I will be gone for a while. NO LONGER. Making coke from lignite and coal. Graebeards mining out the barracks and taking part in fixing the farms which are flooded.

The barracks is done and three migrants arrived! Why so few, I have no idea...

Carpenter
Competent Armor User/Fighter/Kicker/Dodger/Observer
Talented Carpenter
Adequete Mason

Leatherworker
Novice Armor User/Fighter/Biter/Dodger/Observer
Adequete Leatherworker

Fish Cleaner
Novice Animal Caretaker/Metalsmith
High Master Fish Cleaner
Profiecent Wound Dresser

Traders should arrive soon. Tis mid-autumn. Our front door is almost complete. We need a lever to connect to our bridge once completed.

No, dwarves are available. All who are taken are written down on their stats.
