You teleport into the Hardware and Appliances store. The power is out, so looting seems to be extremely easy, especially without other looters. You grab everything you'll ever need(though will lose) and go back to your shelter. You make a trapdoor to cover the entrance, but still allows natural light.
You start clearing space by compressing the dirt with Levitation and Force Blast. you keep everything held together with Levitation while you lay out a foundation and ceiling.

You make a hefty basement. It's not quite to your liking, so you begin reinforcing it, widening it, and overall improving it.

It could still be better, but considering you've made a decent underground home in just a few hours you feel satisfied. You add lighting to the basement, then begin making storage areas. You transfer all of your robots, and possessions from your apartment. You make a few low quality pieces of furniture so that it looks like you still live in the apartment. You teleport your garden to near the shelter, you refuse to give up your vegetables!
After getting everything situated you go back into town, steal a decent television set, then set it up in your shelter. You make a system that allows you to get free cable and satellite TV free of charge, and with little to no chance of being caught by even the government.
Among other things you stole a nice microscope, and chemistry equipment.
