If the bullet manages to pierce our skin, then yes. We could die from a headshot. Guns are pretty worthless now that everyone can just sort of punch their way through a 12 inch thick concrete wall.

The bunny is ragged and dirty, but your loving daughter sees the bunny's fluff of gold, much like her father's ragged exterior shields a heart of gold. The two of you hug. A random person in the crowd begins openly weeping tears of joy for you.
The sniper's attempts to kill you mean nothing. In the end you both hug, your loving daughter joins in.
No one witnessing this bliss thinks that This is stupid. The cheering of the crowd increases tenfold. The fallen shows up, and you know he'd be clapping like a madman too, had you not ripped his arms off 30 minutes ago.
