You see black. Nothing but black. You aren't sure how long you'll remain this way. You try moving, but all is black. Should you panic, or not?
You count the time while you think of things. You stop counting after you reach 345 years, 17 days, 23 hours, 49 minutes, and 17 seconds. In that time you thought about everything you could, but there's only so much to think about. It's black.

You see a weak light, and believe you're tilting your head as you reach out for it. You see the world again. The 345 years of thought we had appear to have been on a separate plane of time. Only a few minutes have passed since we died, and our friends are still sitting around where we fell. They look up at us as though we were a ghost. Reasonable enough, you assume.
You look at a reflective surface. You've certainly changed in the time you were gone. Your hair has turned black, while your skin has turned a fair pale. You almost look like you're glowing. You have dark gray wings, and an Omega symbol on your head. You are clothed in what could only be described as fantasy clothing. A large egg is in a satchel hanging at your waist. You take the egg out of the satchel, then examine it a bit. It is a brilliant white, the only remarkable feature being an onyx colored Omega symbol.

You feed energy to the egg, and read an emotion of joy from it. You feed a bit more energy to the egg, then put it back in the satchel. You look at the beast responsible for these events. The beast seems far too brittle to be the cause of this suffering. You become enraged, and approach the beast.
You arrive on time to see it pierce one of the presences through the heart, and knock the other unconscious. The tendrils originate from a small humanoid figure exuding a black mist with red eyes.
You pity it.

We're going to lose these powers after the major update is completely finished, but I promised you guys that you'd get to choose how we fought this guy. Before the beast was thrice our power. Now we're about 5 times its power, so you do the math.

Omega is the symbol of the neutral alignment. Anti-justice gets infinity, and Justice gets an hourglass symbol.

The beast launches a tendril at you, and it manages to pierce your heart. You grab the tendril and flow your aura into it, the beast begins to screech in pain, and withdraws the tendril before you completely melt it away. It attempts to launch another, stronger tendril at you, which you swat away with a weak Reality Tap.

The beast recovers from both failures, then jumps at you itself. You use Flash Movement to grab its face before it can attempt to scathe you again. You slam it into an empty skyscraper, then reinforce your push with God's Hand. All the windows on the skyscraper are blown out from the presser place on the building, and the beast is anchored to a crater the initial slam place on the outer wall.
You toss the beast down to the ground, nearly tearing its arm off, and a crater forms around the landing spot. The beast crawls out, bleeding, and attempts to flee. You pin it down once more with a large God's Hand. You push it against the skyscraper again, then unleash as powerful a Stampede as possible. The building collapses, and the beast still lives. You commend its efforts.
You enter Supernova. You feel no pain as your entire being is rewritten as a pure mass of hyper condensed sentient energy. You instinctively use a power you weren't aware you had. Two large, black rings appear. One in the sky, the other on the ground. Energy forms in the center of the sky ring, and begins to expand. A pillar of aura concentrated on destruction falls to the ground ring, and the beast perishes.

As the stream of energy fades you look into the abyss created. A humanoid figure, female from the looks of things, is lying there half dead. Onyx gray clouds have appeared in the sky, and a bluish snow begins to fall. You reestablish your humanoid form, then grab the woman in the abyss. You Displace the movers, Samantha, the corpse of Boss, The Janitor, Criptfiend, Aklyon, the woman, and yourself to your underground abode.

You scan the woman and discover that most, if not all, of her powers have been completely removed. Your 350+ years of life are telling you to keep this woman alive, she couldn't have been conscious during that rampage. It's not long before you discover that the other presence has fled. You work out that these three beings were all like yourself, you aren't completely sure as to why that is though.
You name the rampage "the Fallen state."
The woman wakes up, and you bind her to yourself to insure that she can't escape. She'll be stopped by blinding pain if she remains a certain distance away from you. You feed the egg more energy, and it begins to move on its own. A pair of glowing blue eyes can be seen through the shell. Bob's wife Snowflake comes in and allows the egg to use her for warmth.
All the humans... Humans...? Odd, why would you call on of your own race as though they were of another...? Regardless, the humans are gathered around Boss. You have the materials begin creating a coffin out of themselves. You're starting to tire... You go to your bed, then sleep. You never did get a chance to see what was in that envelope... It can wait for later.

You wake up, groggy, and annoyed. The egg seems to have grown overnight, and Boss seems to have been buried. The woman is... Not defeated looking? Just how much got done while you slept?

Woman: "You woke up?!"
You: "Is there a reason I wouldn't have?"
Woman: "You were in a coma for two years!"
You: "Super..."
Woman: "The world has changed a lot while you've been like that."

Bob walks in, you try to read his mind so you can communicate with him, but you can't seem to perform your power. You try lifting things to no avail. What happened to your body while you were asleep?
You look at Bob again, he's grown quite large. He's a true king of beasts, he eagerly comes to our side, and we pat him on the head. The beast purs like a kitten, and a small litter of cubs come in.
The egg floats into your lap, where it refuses to move from until you finally get up to look in the mirror.
The Omega symbol still appears to be on your head, only slightly faded. Your physique is still the same, but your wings are no longer there. You shower, then groom yourself.

You hear a door opening. A door you still have yet to build. Your friends have let themselves in using The Janitor, apparently. They look in shock at you being awake, and fully clean. They inform you of the past two years.

You now know that the area you live in is ground zero, an area that no one can safely enter, and then leave. Your energy infected the world, and changed things. An evolution that shouldn't have happened was force onto every being, yet no one knows why this new energy caused such a dramatic change. You need to step outside and see what's become of your beloved city.

Upon stepping out you discover that it's winter, and your clothing is appropriate. You feel revitalized at the energy you lost being reabsorbed by your body. You still can't use your powers. The city off in the distance seems to still be thriving, but not through law. You're told that every sentient species now has extremely weakened versions of your powers, and gangs were created to abuse these powers for control. Many parts of the city are controlled by gangs, or the police, which have become incredibly consumed by power.

You feel ashamed at the world, you declare that you'll fix things. No matter what.

breadbocks: By reclaim I mean that we have to get all that was lost back. This includes the cities, and remaking the internet.

Evergod: The government is in hiding, trying to train super soldiers that can stop hundreds of large, psychic army-like gangs. Also, we're not sad. We're melancholy. That means we're feeling detached from everything. We aren't starving, either. The woman(I'll probably make a poll for a name) and our friends fed us while we were comatose.
