How do I bodyswap?
« on: October 04, 2010, 09:12:18 am »

I've seen people post about bodyswapping with megabeasts/demons/etc. in adventure mode. I just want to know: How would I do this?

playing any race is just a case add
to entity_default,
[ENTITY:X]
[ADVENTURE_TIER:X]
X is 4 MOST of the time as Dwarfs, Elves, and Humans take up tier 3, 2, and 1 respectively.
[CREATURE:DWARF] put your chosen race over dwarf
 and add [INDIV_CONTROLLABLE].
this will get you a play now creature.

if the creatures has a civ to start  i.e. a Goblin then just find there civ and add, [ADVENTURE_TIER:X]  and [INDIV_CONTROLLABLE].

Agree, plus that's about the LAST thing *I* want to see from this kind of game - author spending valuable development time on useless graphics.

Yeah, yeah, I know that. But I've seen people talk about bodyswapping with demons. How would I do that?

I think, and this is just a guess, if you add that tag to the subterrianian civ(which covers batmen, antmen, etc. all a once) and add demons to the subterrianian civ you can get demons, you just don't start with any skills. I know you can add the tag itself to subterrianian civ, but you can only choose 'play now' and get some food, some water, and spear, not even normal clothes.

I think Vorthon is talking about the people who bodyswap after starting an adventurer, to another creature, so as to escape death, or a crippled body. I don't know how they do it, but I too have noticed these ghouls talking about their necromantic exploits.

You need to get trapped in a cage trap. At least, that's step one.

that's all the reason folks use this. I thought they would spend time using this as a tool to create scenarios a la Arena mode where a army protect the next heir to the throne from a horde of goblins paired up with undead animalmen . I think someone with time and effort.. and loads of save scumming can recreate any battle from lord of the rings, or narnia, or the beginning of dragon age, a pub game of Team fortress 2.

I was hoping someone had used it to train up the civ-leaders so that they could better lead armies against you in fortress mode.

Understandable though if you want to do this better make a adventurer reaction that gives them a Wicked Weapon that can kill a unarmed dwarf and fling them several feet.

Or make the weapon also dearm them.
