Criptfiend: Like Servant Corps said, the actual test Pew gave people was a lot longer.  And most people are pretty dumb anyway.  It always amazes me how many Christians I've met who have no idea what the Day of Ascension was.

12/15 myself.  Missed the Jewish Sabbath (I always confuse it with the Muslim Sabbath), the literality of Communion (This is the actual blood of Jesus?  Man, that guy was wasted!), and the Great Awakening bit, which I should be ashamed of as a student of history.

So, I was looking at the test results, and apparently Mormons know the most on average when it's just Christianity. Can't say I saw that one coming.

Got 12/15.  The Joseph Smith one actually tripped me up because I didn't see the Mormon choice.  But seriously, why do people expect Christians to know a lot about other religions?

And yeah, the debate of the literality of communion has been going on for so long, Christians and Catholics seem to treat it as a inside joke to chuckle about.

12/15 HOWEVER, some of the questions are bull. Apparently, Hinduism has no belief in nirvana?

In Hinduisim, the concept is almost the same but has a differant name: Moksha.

I don't get all this complaining about "why should Christians be expected to know about other religions".  Take your pick of:  A) Because everyone should know stuff about other people.  B) Why should Hindus for instance be expected to know anything about Christianity, especially when about 10 of the 15 questions are about Christianity?  C) Because the real test is more complicated than that.

I also misspelled it, so feel free to throw a 'u' into my name next time you feel like it.

14 out of 15. Failed the sabbath one (I suspected it might begin on friday, but went for saturday nonetheless). I got the last one out of sheer chance.

TBH I think that the last 5 questions did not make much sense.

As I believe I am the only one that really said that and thus the 'all' I will try to answer my thoughts on your questions.

A) Although true to a certain extent I do not need to know everything. Do I need to know Ramadan? Yes probably. Do I need to know about Nirvana? Not really.

B) Christianity was only used as a example.
Why are say Catholics
Perhaps I should have used more commas.

C) You have a good point and I did not know that.

Although then it is really comparing apples and oranges, is it not?

That sabbath one got us all, huh?

*Raises hand tentatively* I got it.

Missed the question on Catholic communion.

You guys didn't know that the Sabbath started on Friday?
