Oh bullfucking shit. Most of them have been ignoring the explicit text to ask stupid questions already answered in it and the rest of them have been ignoring enough of it to fail some easy deductions to ask stupid questions already answered in it.

I don't know why after that little tantrum but i reread the thread to try and help and noticed this little nugget:

There are kitchens for every subcommunity, dedicated cooks for three of them, and the rest have someone nearby with cooking enabled. The problem is that I've loaded them all up with meal orders to consolidate storage space, so auto-renders won't fit in their queues, and I can't manually add them.

This shouldn't matter because I've still got loads of tallow stock restricted from cooking, I've got buckets of lye, and yet I can't manually add soap making to the soap workshop. I put in work orders for soap, and I've seen it appear on the queue and slip off the queue, but the amounts aren't increasing in the hospital or z-stocks. So where did it go?

Notice the "buckets of lye" right there.  They need to be in barrels.  If you mistyped then I have no idea.

Wtf? Since when do they need to be in barrels? Every time I've got a cancel on soap-making, the message is "You need a lye-bearing bucket". And it's not like I choose what lye is put in, and every time I've zoomed in on my supply, that lye is in buckets, not in any of the many empty barrels available. And it so happens that magmawiki contributors seem to believe a bucket is what's called for.

EDIT: Ohforfucksake. It has to move from a bucket to a barrel. I'm about ready to punch my monitor in.

Only lye in barrels will be used; lye in buckets that has not yet been transferred into a barrel will not be used.
