Karnewarrior is looking for Civ 4 mods!

My version is 1.7.4.0, BTW.

I need good mods. I tried Googling it, but all that came up was a whole ton of links about some glitch with the patch, making the game unplayable. I do not have that glitch, so I'm good.

Got anything to help?

Highly recommended. Though, you'll want at least one 'mod mod' (yes, this mod is popular enough that it has mods for it!). I'm using the Naval AI mod, which means the AI isn't hilariously inept at water combat, by which I mean they now actually build and use boats.  ::)


And, actually, I should ask - do you just have the base Civ4, or do you have Beyond the Sword? I believe FFH requires BtS, as do most mods I've looked at. And BtS comes with a handful of decent mods pre-installed (including an older version of BtS!). If you're just running the base game, let us know!

I am running Vanilla. BTS is currently not available, as my "Uncle" has the game. I say "Uncle because he's just my dad's Best Friend.

And I couldn't find a version of FFH for my specific patch. I thought mods won't work if the patch # isn't right?

I happen to like the Rise of Mankind mod, but be warned that it takes a fair bit of processing power.

I run 100 Dwarf forts at greater than 75 FPS while running Sims 3 and the internet. I think my comp can handle it. :P
