Let us play a game.  Also, let me get some writing exercise in.  In this game we will use TV Tropes' random function to pick some tropes to start grafting a story together.  I will post three random Tropes from which we shall vote upon one Trope, and suggest methods of implementing that Trope.  Then I'll try and make it cohesive.

Shit is likely to get weird.  Possibly time shit as well, if we get that trope.

First post is an exception, as we need three Tropes to start.  Here's a selection of nine from the randomiser.  Once we've voted on three starting Tropes and suggested implementations, I'll start storytelling.

Additional Rule:  These have to be Tropes and not actual series, movies, books etc.  'Dwarf Fortress' is not a Trope.  'Our Elves are Different' is a Trope.  In other words, nothing copyrighted.  We're not doing fan fiction here.
