If raw rock crystal were importable, I would use crystal glass walls.

Isn't it listed in under gems?  Maybe your dwarfs don't have access to it, but I'm almost positive I've imported rock crystal before.

Edit:  It doesn't look like anyone has explicitly answered your earlier question about uploading maps.  Head to DFMA to upload your map.  Instructions are on the main page and are fairly straightforward.

I import rock crystals all the time.  But those are cut rock crystals...importing raw rock crystals is another matter altogether...

The problem is crystal glass doesn't work. You can't import rough rock crystals(or any gem), You can't import crystal glass blocks(can you?), and you can't make them yourself even if you do have rock crystals on your map because crystal glass is bugged.

I I didn't know that last bit...this is where a custom reaction could be useful...

The Civilization Forge mod has a custom workshop and reaction for much of it.

I think I might just change the "make soap" reaction to "make crystal glass blocks" it will use up cut crystal glass. xD

EDIT:  cut rock crystals
and screw modding, i am too lazy

There's a Glass Forge mod that works around clear glass/rock crystal not working.

Iunno, I just have heard that some people have nonspecific issues with clear glass, and have used the Glass Forge to get around them.

Is there any way to stop shrubs from growing on underground soil?

I have a ton of soil exposed and there's shrubs everywhere.

Nevermind, I told myself I wasn't going to cheat in any way for this project.

That's not cheating. It's more like paving over dirt.

Can someone design a Magma version of the pointless enegy shields from Starwars Phantom Menace Reactor Fight scene that will ALLOW constant pathing by Seige and Ambush units but has a Kill Rate of 100%...
