As it turns out, the pen was in fact a poor choice for melee combat in comparison to the sword.
So I just started playing this game and I accidentally nuked the moon.

You pop into the game at the armory. After buying weapons, you walk outside.

Inventory : Backpack (34 slots used, 16 slots left)
            SMG (4 slots)
            SMG (4 slots)
            240 SMG rounds (24 slots)
            Grenade (2 slots)

Game Events : The zombie cows stop charging and start running away. From the
ground rises a giant dragon. From the base arises a mech. They start fighting,
the dragon hitting pretty hard, but the mech's internal dampeners take the
damage. The players are drawn into a doorway, and are told they may take
anything they want from the armory, along with an infinity space bag. 75 slots
is heavy (-1 to walking) 100 slots is Really Heavy (-2 to walking) and over 110
is unbearable (-2 to everything). Destroy the dragon and win, it destroys you
you lose.
Refer to armory at top of post. Please do math for yourself.

If so, then I would like:
Handguns(?) x2= $40

Handgun ammo x2=$30

Gasoline x2=$20
Amount of money spent on useless weapons: $250
Yes, I count gasoline as a weapon.

I load up with a grenade launcher (that was a spelling mistake right?) and 35 incendary grenades.

EDIT: and I vote for Chaos RTD.

Right well then I'll have
Handguns(?) x2= 4 slots
SMG's x2= 12 slots
Handgun ammo x2=6 slots
SMG ammo x5= 20 slots
Gasoline x20= 60 slots
A car x1
Flare gun x1= 3 slots
Flares x11= 11 slots

Total price: 109 slots
I'll try to fill up the car with fuel and attract the dragons attention via flares (after making sure I am outside and everyone else is far enough away from me that they don't get killed by accident), when I get its attention I'll try not to die while desparetley driving the car everywhere possible to avoid the dragon but stay in its intrest. (anyone who wants to get in the car may but it'll probably crash and kill me/ anyone inside after a roll or two)
Yep, I really intend to be usefull (sarcasm).
