I'm not going to do a write-up or a journal this time.

I am slightly worried that this fortress is doomed, as titans/semimegabeasts always seem to appear on year 3 for me. :(

---

Migrants arrived on top of the lake and nearly drowned, and a gem cutter made a totally useless artifact.

Elves brought a Tigerman, who has skill in Lashing. She's guite useless though, because I cannot put her in the military, and she didn't bring any equipment with him.

Steel production started, trying to get a military up soon enough...

---

Urist Imiknorris was elected mayor... Good thing I started building the mayor's rooms beforehand.

And he made his first mandate, which is black bronze items. Ugh.

---

@#%!ng Rhesus Macaques.

Oh hey, the Tigerman got one of them.

---

Snatcher! Protect the children!

I hope there aren't any ambushes around...

---

Rhesus macaques again... And the Tigerman just bit a head off.

On the other hand, war Tigers.

---

Lake froze again, and the Tigerman apparently ran out of water to drink as a result.

The traders arrived, did the trade and-

Okay, the damage done was a bit less than I thought. The casualties were a kitten and Argembarger the Ex-Overseer.

I just hope that a second squad doesn't pop up.

What the hell did you trade off them?

It's probably made from baby bone, with a handle of baby leather. Probably uses the leg bones wound together for the handle, the pelvis for the handle/pick joint, and the pick is the spine.

But that's all in theory, of course. Not like I've made a pick out of my own 5 month old baby before.

A goblin ambush popped up right next to the traders... They are there in the image I posted, if not so easily seen.

EDIT: My turn's over, so here's the save: http://dffd.wimbli.com/file.php?id=3238

Haha, guess I built my tomb just in time. Oh and that whole leaving an everlasting monument in the form of a huge wagon-friendly bridge o'er the river.

Avenge me!

Also, those migrants sure do love to flirt with death on that lake.

I think fivex used Ironhand's graphic set. It does modify the raws somewhat, and that's probably why the graphics got messed up.

Okay, for future reference:
Overwrite the raws folder with your own raws folder.

Sign me up.  Not that I'm an expert at castlecrafting, but most of my fortresses have been built above ground.  I like doing that simply because there is no clutter- stone is all safely below the ground.

it can't be done, there is an existing FOOD_MASH somewhere. overwrite and the save stops with a missing definition for that AND something else. after adding food_mash it gave some "cannot find definitions" error.
edit: the error would be fine if it SAID WHAT THE MISSING ENTRY WAS, but it doesn't

I'm sorry to flake out on my first try at this, but I won't be able to finish my turn in a reasonable amount of time.  Actually got some work this weekend.

Okay, here is how you fix it:
Replace the item_food file with the one from ironhands/the old save and do the same with the language_ files
The next player should make a new folder withing the save folder(not in the raws) with the files so that they can include it with the save easily.
You don't need to add the llama thing as it isn't in the raws for some reasons
Also since I downloaded the save file not to sound annoying or something but I noticed that almost all of our workshops and such are underground. I suggest BigJake move some of them above ground because A. it's in the spirit of the fortress and B. they will be closer to (most) of out stockpiles
