All enemies of Granitepartners will feel the wraith of my hammer!....and so will all of the elves!....and anyone who annoys me or takes my booze!
Awesome, your hammer can control a wraith! I'm totally modding that in.
ah, and my inability to spell strikes me down once more, sorry about that :P  Never have been good with spelling, or grammer in general for that matter.

Regarding the aquifer; are you sure you didn't just embark over two biomes? The aquifer may only be part of one of the biomes and not the other.

Could I have a fisherdorf please?

Edit: What was fighting what when?
A few rhesus macaque came along apparently. Nothing was stolen

Apparently your sarcasm detector is set far too high. I seriously intend to mod in a creature that can only be controlled by hammerdwarfs.

It's probably made from baby bone, with a handle of baby leather. Probably uses the leg bones wound together for the handle, the pelvis for the handle/pick joint, and the pick is the spine.

But that's all in theory, of course. Not like I've made a pick out of my own 5 month old baby before.

Yes I did assume that, Dwarf Fortress is one of the few places where a reply like that can be taken seriously. But I'm a smartass, so I replied like one./

Yes, like how if I quoted everything with a remark about pyramids, everything would get silly.

Overseer's report, 18th Granite.

  [LAGBOMB]

OHSHITOHSHITOHSHIT both miners were standing on the frozen river when it thawed. Fivex is probably going to make it, but Etur is doomed. Also, migrants and macaques. One of the migrants is a high master weaponsmith, and another is a high master metalcrafter. I will be digging for magma.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

19th Granite

Huh. Fivex drowned, Etur made it.

  [LAGBOMB]

  Fucking lakes.

15th Felsite

I've dug a channel sealing off our peninsula, and built a bridge over it. Unfortunately, I was too late to block off the elven merchants. At least they haven't sent any ecoterrorists our way yet.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

18th Felsite

The elves had two giant leopards, two giant jaguars, and a tigerman to sell us, along with copious amounts of alcohol and some seeds. We stole it all. We also stole their cloth because it may come in handy someday. We also stole their clothes, because clothing is valuable and we can probably buy all we need from the dwarven caravan with them.

2nd Hematite

A peasant was possessed, made a rhesus macaque bone right gauntlet. We've also hit the magma sea and Etur is digging out space for forges. We're also bridging the river.

Is this going to become a running gag of sorts?
Also, as i can't find it, how many z-levels above ground is the fortress?

12th Hematite

I've put two of our fish cleaners in the mining force. I just wish we had picks for them. Dammit Fivex, taking your stuff with you to your watery grave.

17th Galena

He's claimed our forge and gotten to work.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

25th Limestone

The picks are made, and we now have three miners. Knowing their predecessors' fates, they're all going to die horribly. They've dug out a temporary metal/glassworking area until we can get the pump stack set up.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

I assume I finish your turn and then take mine normally?

Hoo boy. Pressure's on for me.

Anyway I'll get on this tonight, should make my first post tonight or tomorrow.

Oh, wait, where's the current save at? Sorry if it's right under my nose and I'm missing it.
