Al'akif, worried? No! A few misbegotten cannibals! No threat? right?
Best to start preparing...

Al'akif speaks up at the emergency meeting. "My bowmen will be ready-indeed, even those who cannot wield a spear could wield a bow on the wall, yes? And while I hate to bring up the subject...we must be prepared to move our village, in case the threat becomes too great. I am sorry to say...better our possessions than our lives, if it comes to that"

Set up an archery range within city limits and start giving lessons, to my hunters and everyone else that needs to learn.
Question the survivors of the attack for information on enemy numbers, equipment, and strategy.

There's about 100 Ulmitasters. Also, the wall isn't built yet. The Ulmitasters arriving kinda put a stop to that.

Attempt to incorporate a small tower or platform into the wall.

Al Akif glares "We dont have a wall. Your in charge of construction, so your job should be to make one. A log fort would be preferable, with firing slits for archers and a gate that can be barred and locked."

We are building a wall. It is being built.

Oh, wait, should've read more closely.

Order the craftsmen to work around the clock. Make lots of bows, arrows and spears. Also to start making more wood. Ochita was amazed. People killing people on this scale. No... He won't let anyone lose anyone else! he set orders to make weapons and timber to protect the people.

Oleb sighed. There could be any number of cannibals, and they were likely all used to fighting. A small conscripted force may well be unable to protect them properly. If it came down to it, every man and woman may be forced to take up arms. They must be prepared for that possibility. If nothing else, the children must be protected.

I'll give speeches to mentally prepare every adult for the possibility that they may need to fight to defend their homes and children, and to help psych the military up.

"Ronald, you're the best hunter among us, you should take some men with you and look for those cannibals. Find the best place for a battle if need be."

I'll also order my last son to take up arms and take a score of my farmands with him. And train.

"Ochita, my friend, could you craft weapons for my son? I want him to have the best available."

Upon returning to the village, Ronald was quickly asked to lead the defense force, being the only one with experience in such matters, he accepted.
'I'll take you, and you, and you.' He pointed to 8 others, making it a group of 12. '8 of you will scout the surrounding lands for a good place to make a stand should our wall not finish in time, you others come with me and we'll head up the river and see where those cannibals are!'

scout the surrounding area for easily defensible positions (cliffs, hills, exceptionally nice looking islands in the middle of rivers maybe?), and scout in the direction of Ulmitast for the cannibal horde

Diakron stood watching the construction of the wall, his son was Helping with the construction of the more difficult parts of the wall. "Well biys, Time to get our hands dirty, and you best learn well cause after this we get to make our own barracks." With a little grumbling the new enforcers, they got to work. Mean while Diakron took some slabs of wood. Thinking back on how arrows would get stuck in wood, he took bands of rawhide and attached the wood to it. testing it as a target he was happy to see that the arrows barely punched through it and would reduce any arrow wounds to small punctures. As he watched, a mis-thrown spear smashed into his new invention, and while a large chunk of wood was knocked out there was no hole left in the leather backing.

________________________________________________________________________________________________

Diakron will set the police to working on the wall to teach them basic fortification skills and to toughen them up.

He then invents basic leather and wood armor. slabs of wood are basically tied onto a rawhide tunic to provide protection.

He makes more spears and then turns all 4 sets over to arm the public.

Turns (Mostly done):

Ronald "Plump of Helmets" (Blackdutchie):'
Return, scout the area for defencive positions, train some spearmen, and help finish the wall.

Ochita (Ochita):
Order the craftsmen to produce all the equipment and weapons that the village will need. Make some wood for the wall.

Diakron (Diakron):
Invent some personal armour. Get the police working on the wall to toughen them up. Make some spears, and give them to the public.

Oleb I (Nirur Torir):
Rally the townsfolk to be ready to defend their town, if that day ever comes.

Sheb (Sheb):
Invent the shield. Send last son out to train to defend the village. Organize the townsfolk for defence.

Perkwunos (Dwarf):
No idea. Continue work on the wall?

Al'akif (Dwarmin):
Create an archery range to train the villagers, and ask about the enemy's numbers tatics etc.
