OOC: Hmm...you know, I'd like to get on the waiting list for this game, if there is one! Maybe when some technology point is reached, more council members will be needed? I could be a philosopher...eh.

But I cant see any council members dying of anything beside old age, except Ronald though...but who knows, accidents happen. ;)

If you can ever fit me in USEC, I'd be very happy.

I'll add you to the waiting list. That won't mean much, since the players have the option of choosing a successor, so they can continue to play. I'll probably add you later, though.

Turns:

Ronald (Blackdutchie): Invent yoke.

Ochita (Ochita): Make boat. Supervise the digging of irrigation channels/temple.

Diakron (Diakron): Make spears. Invent quern. (Also, can you explain your government idea again? I'm not sure what it is.) Help with construction of temple.

Sheb (Sheb): Construction of temple. Talk to the head of Ulmitast about trade between the two villages.

Oleb I (Nirur Torir): Convince the people that a lifetime of labour is suitable punishment for murder. Encourage the temple workers.

Everything looks good?

MINI-UPDATE:

Sheb (Sheb):
As work on the temple continues, you talk to the head of Ulmitast, inorder to work out some kind of trade agreement.(4) The head of the village readily accepts the basic idea, but would like something more specific than simply allowing trade between the two villages.

(You should work out the specifics while he's still here.)

EDIT:

Oleb I (Nirur Torir):
As the work on the temple continues, you decide that the workers need to be encouraged. (1+1) Instead of encouraging them, your works just aggrivate them, and they begin to yell, openly blaspheming the spirits who allowed such a tragedy to happen. In other words, an angry mob is forming. Oleb, his confidence leaving him, begins to run, (3) barely outrunning the angry villagers behind him. (2) (6) As they begin to pelt him with bricks and stones, Oleb puts on a burst of speed, and outruns them. The villagers, shouting for blood, begin to march to his house.

What goods do they produce?

It would be really useful to know how much excess food we produce in a year.

They all want to kill me, and probably my daughters, because of a 2? How is that different from a 1?

Stone Statues? How are they making those!
Have them teach us the secret of stonecutting!
Also, we could commission statues of Ulmitast daughter, Shet and Roxanne, to be placed in the temple.

I say we trade some land-boats for food.

After carefully thinking of the potentially dynasty ending 2:
Oleb I continues running, trying to lure them away from his daughters.
Jess is probably helping the neighbor with his pottery.
Oblet II ... is likely being watched by that same neighbor. The innocence of a child can surely turn the angry mob away. Or maybe the neighbor (Let's call him Alan) will just get them to safety until the mob figures out exactly why they're angry.

In the future, murder will carry a far heftier price. See what sort of anarchy ensues when there is no real penalty for murder?
