Okay, Sheb will continue working on his land-boat design.

As for the town, I think most farmers that aren't working should be mass-producing bricks, while the craftmen make the carpentry. That way, we'll soon have a meeting hall/temple.

Before I go on with the next turn, a little post to make sure I correctly have everyone's actions (Make sure you put them in bold, please.)

Blackdutchie: Explore the hills to the north. Hunt

Ochita: Make bows, convince other craftsmen to make arrows. Invent quern. Be prosecutor at trial.

Sheb: After the investigation. preform trial on the alleged murderer. Invent land-boat.

Nirur Torir: Investigate murder for trial. Preach on how terrible crime is etc.

Diakron: Wait for maxicaxi to die. Replace him.

Change mine to "Wait for investigation", then organize trial before the whole town.

Ronald "Plump of Helmets" (Blackdutchie):
Since you haven't found any way to aquire tools to equip your ten farmers with, you have no choice to go off and scout alone. Luckily, the week was full of pleasant weather, with very few predators in sight. You find the highest hill to the north, and climb to the top, and take a look around.

Spoiler: What you see (click to show/hide)

Scouting done, you return home, bagging some game along the way.

Oleb I (Nirur Torir):
You preach out against the evil crimes that have occurred in the village lately. However, that doesn't stop someone from stealing the mudbricks used for the construction of the council hall. The thief was never caught, since many other farmers were hoarding mud bricks to rebuild their houses for when the floodwaters recede.

Ochita (Ochita):
(4) In between making bows, you attempt to improve on current designs to make flour. Mortar and pestles are not efficient enough for you. With a little experimentation, you think that using rotational forces might be a good idea. However, it will take a little more experimention to get a design you really like. (All future attempts to invent a quern will get +1, whether by you or by other people.)

Sheb (Sheb):
(5) Your land-boat is done. You had the brillant idea of slimming down rollers to make 'axels' It made it much easier to attach to the boat, since only the 'wheels' at the ends of the 'axels' actually touch the ground. You impress your friends even more when you present your land-boat, being pulled throughout the square by oxen. Mind you, one of the oxen was strangled to death with all the pulling it had to do. You really wish that there was a better way to attach oxen to things than by tying a string around their neck.

Spoiler: Trial (click to show/hide)

Construction:
(1) With Cyrus dead, the construction of the council-hall fails to go as planned, and around 16% of it is finished before the wet season ends.

As the wet season ends, the farmers head back down to the river, to rebuilt their houses and begin to plow their fields. As alway, several disputes break out over who has what land, though luckily, no fist-fights break out this year.

Are you making up stuff as you go, or would you mind ever writing the ruleset out in a document or something?

Diakron sits in his shelter with his son, showing him how to make Flint-headed Spears. They work in relative silence, since his wife had recently passed away due to an unfortunate accident at the beginning of the Floods, few people wanted to speak with the moody craftsman during his work. Diakron takes the best four of the spears and turns them over to Ronald, keeping the rest in his possession. Watching Ochita's attempt to build something new, He and his son, Diakron Jr., join in to help.

Sitting in his home, Ronald thought about what he saw on his last expedition.
There were mountains of great size in the north, but no signs of any other people... Why would that be?

Thinking about where other people would live, he got an idea:
We live next to a river, would other people live next to rivers as well? Maybe even this same river!

He should go investigate that next time he'd go out to hunt/scout.
Thinking about the hunt, he realized that NONE of his farmer-recruits had any weapons, and so he was forced to leave them behind.
The new councilman was said to be a great crafter of weapons, surely he could ask him for some!

Scout along the river (opposite direction of the mountains (South, it looks like)), but ask Diakron for some spears first.

Sheb was left aghast after the trial, as he was sure Helop was innocent. Leaving is pet project, the "Land-boat" aside for a while (We will have time enough to improve it before the harvest). Sheb decides to focus on improving the village's legal system. All villager should have a say in the village's working. He soon realize that an assembly similar to the one that judged Helop is the best way to achieve that. Looking at the mess that the return to the shore was, he also suggest that each farmer's field are to be surrounded by stone slab at each corner so as to prevent messing around.

Here is the proposal he put in front of the Council.

While the council debate about Sheb's proposition, he sit next to Ronald and tell him. "I heard you want to go exploring along the river? Well, my son would like to join your party. He is young and strong, and what more, he know how to sail a boat. With my boat and my food, you could go exploring for more than a month without problems.

Ochita was slightly shocked. Had he reallt let an innocent man to take the blame for someone else, one on the council! he felt ashamed, and he traveled to Oleb to ask for forgiveness over his wrong doing. "Oh Shaman!" He cried and he begged for some type of mercy from the spirits... t home he was in a bad mood with his daughter was worried.
"Father..? Are you alright? You won at the trial so you should feel fine!" "You don't get it do you? Never mind. Just go and explore if you want. Its your birthday soon and you will be old enough to marry. I hope you get someone who loves you."
Turning away Ochita looks over his quern designs. He had almost got it. Now how would he...

Continue to work on quern design, go to oleb and ask for a better judgement system..( Do a mini-update with items used, witnesscess ect?)
