Since you haven't found any way to aquire tools to equip your ten farmers with, you have no choice to go off and scout alone. Luckily, the week was full of pleasant weather, with very few predators in sight. You find the highest hill to the north, and climb to the top, and take a look around.
More trees and hills, with an out-line of a mountain ridge further to the north.
Scouting done, you return home, bagging some game along the way.
Oleb I (Nirur Torir):
You preach out against the evil crimes that have occurred in the village lately. However, that doesn't stop someone from stealing the mudbricks used for the construction of the council hall. The thief was never caught, since many other farmers were hoarding mud bricks to rebuild their houses for when the floodwaters recede.
Ochita (Ochita):
(4) In between making bows, you attempt to improve on current designs to make flour. Mortar and pestles are not efficient enough for you. With a little experimentation, you think that using rotational forces might be a good idea. However, it will take a little more experimention to get a design you really like. (All future attempts to invent a quern will get +1, whether by you or by other people.)
Sheb (Sheb):
(5) Your land-boat is done. You had the brillant idea of slimming down rollers to make 'axels' It made it much easier to attach to the boat, since only the 'wheels' at the ends of the 'axels' actually touch the ground. You impress your friends even more when you present your land-boat, being pulled throughout the square by oxen. Mind you, one of the oxen was strangled to death with all the pulling it had to do. You really wish that there was a better way to attach oxen to things than by tying a string around their neck.
Oleb I (Nirur Torir):
With the up-coming trial, you decide to investigate the murder of the farmer. (6) Two people come forward to offer evidence for the case. Turns out Helop and Cyrus Wolfe were over-heard talking. Helop owned Cyrus for some tools that Cyrus had made. Apparently, it turns out that Cyrus had an eye on the dead farmer's wife, not Helop. However, the two evesdroppers didn't actually hear Cyrus telling Helop to kill the farmer. (4) However, with an idea of what to ask people, you dig deeper, and decide that Cyrus almost certainly gave the order.
As the date of the trial arrives, everyone flocks around the square, waiting for it to begin. Sheb, not all that confident with Oleb's news, steps forwards to defend Helop. (4-1) The speech goes fine, though it was hard to defend Helop with Oleb's revelations. Ochita comes forward, fully confident that he Helop will be found guilty. (5+1) The crowd easily picks up on Ochita's confidence, and is soon chanting for Helop's death. Several witness then come forward, to give their evidence to the crowd. (2) Sheb's witness is a friend of the dead farmer, who mostly goes on against Cyrus. At least it distracts the crowd from Helop. (2) However, Ochita was a bit too confident when he picked the two brothers as his witnesses. They are clearly don't like being in front of such a large crowd, and they barely manage to tell their story to the crowd. (3) Helop comes forward, in an attempt to ask for mercy, blaming Cyrus. It goes fairly well, (6) Though the crowd is much more impressed when Cyrus comes forward to attack Helop for slandering his name. In the end, an overwelming part of the crowd finds Helop guilty of killing the farmer on his own free will. The council sentances him to spend one year helping the village in whatever task the council assigns.
However, Cyrus doesn't come out the trial all that happy. In fact, a dog attacks him as he leaves it, and he dies a few days later, due to an infect. Oleb I clearly thinks that this is a sign that the spirits are mad at the village for not prosecuting Cyrus when they heard about his misdeeds. Oleb I appoints another craftsman, Diakron, to replace Cyrus on the council.
Construction:
(1) With Cyrus dead, the construction of the council-hall fails to go as planned, and around 16% of it is finished before the wet season ends.
As the wet season ends, the farmers head back down to the river, to rebuilt their houses and begin to plow their fields. As alway, several disputes break out over who has what land, though luckily, no fist-fights break out this year.

LANDMARKS:
The village of Nilakost Uristrodum has a river running beside it. Several farms line the river, with no attempts at irrigation. Currently, a maximum of 400 farmers could work here, for a fertility rate of 2, with the local villagers being able to draw 1000 units of water from the river. More canals can increase the number of farmers that could work, the amount of water produced and the fertility rate.
MAJOR BUILDINGS:
At the center of the village is a dusty area, used for public and religous events.
RELIGION:
The villagers of Nilakost Uristrodum currently follow a type of spirit worship, led by Oleb Im the chief shaman. However, new ideas will certainly spawn gods and goddesses.
GOVERNMENT:
The village is led by a council of five people, who hold trials for crimes, though their other powers are not as well defined.
The murder of another man has a sentance of 1 year of force labour to the village, which some people think is not harsh enough.
TECHNOLOGY:
The village has no impressive technologies beyond the bow and arrow. They have boats, made of reeds, and land-boats, made of wood, pulled by oxen, which they have managed to domesticate.
MILITARY:
The village defends itself with any farmers that can lay their hands on a pointy stick, or a bow and some arrows. No armour what-so-ever.
