Ronald "Plump of Helmets" (Blackdutchie):
(3) The expedition went smoothly. There was nothing up the coast except more hills and forests. However, when you reached the mountain range, the currents prevented you from paddling further, since it would have been likely that you would be dashed upon some rocks. With the expedition over, you return. You quickly scout the area around the village. (3+1) There's a few areas that could be good for defence, but the surrounding land is mostly hills and forests. (3) Your help with the building of the wall is much appreciated, though you leave most of the organizational problems to Perkwunos. (3)  You do some basic spear drills with the villagers. You are confident that 30 spearmen could be drafted if needed.

Ochita (Ochita):
(5) You quickly rally the craftsmen to produces all the equipment that will be needed.

Diakron (Diakron):
(2) You hit some snags with designing some armour. Namely, you accidentally set some of your wood supplies on fire while drilling some holes in a piece of wood. Needless to say, this set your progress back a couple of weeks, though nothing else was seriously damaged. Slightly disappointed, you then turn to your police force, to get them working on the wall, thus toughening them up. (1) When you find them, most of them are either drunk or scared out of their wits. Even when they come to their senses, they still refuse to do anything, and spend most of their time huddled in their houses.

Oleb I (Nirur Torir):
(4+1) Except for convincing the police force, your speech was a resounding success. After you finished it, you were surprised that the entire village didn't just rise up and attack the cannibals with their bare hands.

Sheb (Sheb):
You start to organize the townsfolk for defence. (6) With Oleb's highly successful speech, everyone wants to help for defence. You spend the rest of the months trying to organize the over-eager townsfolk. When the wet season ends, everyone in the village has a task assigned to them, thus preventing them from causing harm with their good intentions.

Al'akif (Dwarmin):
Knowing that few people in the village can use a bow effectively, you set up an archery range for the people to train in. (3) While less people than you would like actually come to practice, enough people come that you are sure that the village could gather around 30 competent bowmen when the cannibals come.

Perkwunos (Dwarf):
(1) You attempt to continue work on the wall, but it is awfully hard to concentrate with all these scouts running about, yelling about how they spotted the cannibals coming. Wait. The cannibals are attacking?!?!?

I'm sure I missed something. Tell me what it is if you spot something. Else, well, the cannibals are attacking.

I take a free action to determine how much of the wall is completed.

Cannibals are attacking? Quick action is needed, then!
Gather up the spearmen, and set them in a 3 man deep formation, much like a spartan phalanx. They will be placed at the weakest point in the defences (presumably the 25% of unfinished wall), while the 30 drafted archers sit on top of the wall, within reach of where the enemy is probably going to attack. several runners will be appointed to warn of possible flanking maneuvers.

You forgot me trying to invent a shield and me gdedicating one of my statue to Ares, God of War.

For this turn, I'll

Take over most of the farmers, and have them work on the wall in 8-hours shifts. With their weapons always at hand.

Also, did I organize them in military sections last time?

I say it's better to draft everyone now, and have them standing in formation. Lives could be lost in a last-minute scramble to get into position.

I'll organize for the children to be gathered in and around the middle of town, where they will be spared the horrors of war.

I organize and direct the fire of the archers on the wall toward the mass of cannibals. I personally take my bow and try to snipe the guy that looks like the leader.

Al'akif sees Ochita making a stand in his home. Brave, yes...but not smart.

"Friend, we need every able bowman on the walls! If the cannibals get through, the walls of your home will not protect you..."

Make some bows.

Tell the police to man up or eexpect to be on the front lines during the attack.

Equip all police forces with bows andsoears then hand out 2 sets of spares to the general population.

Orders so far:

Code: [Select]
Blackdutchie: Block gaps with spearmen, put archers on walls
Sheb: Continue building the wall with the farmers, keeping their weapons close
Me: Protect the children
Dwarmin: Command wall-archers
Ochita: Protect his house, along with the cowards who won't fight
Diakron: Make bows, hand out weapons, re-moralize police

I really, really, really suggest drafting everybody and having them prepare for battle now, rather then later. 30 guys with spears cannot protect a town of 300, especially with 25% of the walls missing. They'll be overrun, and we'll take heavy casualties fighting in the streets.

How far away are the cannibals?

Order all workers under me to haul ass, get some weaponry and join wherever the army seems to be, and do so myself, too.

Sheb has already organized that to happen. When I say that every villager has a task assigned to them, every villager has a task assigned to them.

How far away are the cannibals?

A 7 hour walk away. Less if they run.

So that mean I've taken care of the whole "Organize our citizen into a militia" then?

Well, they're going to attack trough the gap in our wall. Just to be sure, I'd like 150 militamen to take positions on the walls, looking very impressive. Our true soldiers (The policemen, spearmen, bowmen and Ulmitaster) will stay hidden behind the wall, on either side of the breach.

The rest of the militia shall guard the breach.

Also, what time is it? I suggest we spend the next 3 or 4 hours setting up Punji sticks and then rest for the night, or, if it's morning time, just keep on setting up Punji sticks.Of course, we should have sentry a few kilometers away.

When the cannibals arrive they'll hopefully decide that the gap is the easiest way to enter, charge, fall into the punjis ticks while our bowmen shoots at them and flee when we counter-charge them.
