I might try this. I think I tried either 2 or 1 before, but I think it was a modded server as everyone was flying around, the weapons made no sense and I was vastly outclassed in skill (despite being somewhat of an old hand at computer FPS games)

I'll check the wiki, if I can find one an see what I think about it.

EDIT: Read wiki, sounds like TF2 with some pluses and minuses. I used to play the early Starsiege games, I think this is based off that game universe?

The original tribes was "Starsiege: Tribes" but I'm not sure if they even bothered paying attention to that backstory at all for the sequels.

Tribes 2 is nothing like TF2 aside from it being a multiplayer focused team based first person shooter.

I know it's unrealistic, but I can't help but imagine little bearded babies for dwarves. In my mind, they come out of the womb fully bearded. That's how the mother carries them around, too, she just drags them around by the beard or ties it to her belt. When the father's on duty, he just ties their beards together and the baby just kind of hangs there, swinging to and fro with Urist McDaddy's movements.

If there's any events planned a day or two ahead, heads up here would be wonderful, I think. I keep an eye on this topic (The title edit's terribly helpful, by the by), but steam's not something I have (or will have), so scheduled stuff is a sad unknown.

Cool Beans. Any planned events would probably be announced through the DFC community group.

They are tough buggers.

Here's a tactic that helps, get close, and drop two of your mines, get back very quickly and start pummeling it with grenades and weapon fire. This tactic is also extremely useful against turrets. And a plasma rifle works wonders against base objects.

Alternatively, get a ELF, this weapon is designed to sap the energy out of base objects, allowing easy destruction alongside most weapons. Just sap it and blow it up with a grenade or two, or any weapon.
