The world was once peaceful, until the magical Intrine was discovered and great wars happened. In this time the evil lord Botharne is ruling and Intrine is scarce. One of the few things Intrine is used for now is a card game that is taken incredibly seriously and used to settle even the most grave of affairs.

Rules of the Card Game

Every player starts off with 100 Damage Counters. He then takes five cards from his Intrine Deck. The person with the lightest hair goes first. He draws a card and plays a card. After doing this, all the creatures on his field attack his opponent, unless another effect prevents this. Then it is the next persons go. This continues until one person runs out of Damage Counters-at which point, he is eradicated from the face of the plane.

Enter Oponi, a priestess specialising in intrine cards! When she was a child she was a healer in the great dwarven war and she wants to see an end to terror and evil. She decided to do this via the the medium of intrine cards, she endeavours to put an end to Bothatne's reign of terror.

She was last seen at the spire of the poets, researching the way in which intrine cards can be upgraded.

Oponisits at her intrine imbued desk, applying different forms of energy to a deck of cards.

Suddenly, one of them bursts into red hot flames in front of her.

"Jervis, come over here! I've found something!"
