Dead wagons

The units screen lists 5 different wagons as being "deceased".  They were from the traders that I killed.

Yes, wagons are creatures with other creatures glued onto them. You killed them, and they are important to humans, so they show up as important events.

Is there any way to "kill" a wagon other than deconstructing it or making it fall off a bridge?

This is a fox skull helmet. All craftsdwarfship is of the highest quality. It menaces with spikes of fox bone and is encircled with bands of fox leather. This item is haunted by the ghost of Alfador Angrorung the fox.

Now the real question - how long until we're plagued by undead wagons?   :D

What would a skeletal wagon look like?

Now, here's an interesting question.  If you build three single-tile wide bridges next to each other, and connect the middle one to a lever that makes it retract (not raise), what happens when you have a wagon passing over those three bridges and the middle one gets dropped?

Both of the pullers are still on bridges, but the middle of the wagon is over open ground.  The only way that the wagon could die, would be if either the merchant were to fall through the wagon he's sitting on (cool), or if the middle of the wagon falls through the gap (damn cool).

Either way, it's worth a shot.

In an old version of the game, I had a demand for wagon bone items.

Wagon bone items?

I have about 10 wagons in my legends screen. All of them named (, "") and died tragically in same moment, when my adventurer visited some human settlement:
code:
, ""
was a wagon born in 853.
In the midautumn of 1058, was scuttled in Craftkeys.

I just discovered, you CAN kill a wagon by shooting it with a ballista!

e: can't reproduce it though  :(
