Language Issue
« on: September 26, 2010, 08:00:43 am »

Alright so, my main question is; what file does the world use for translations? As in, the land, regions and general non-species-related titles.

I've changed the languages around a little...

Dwarf > Steir (creature_standard)
Dwarf > Steir (entity_default)

I've changed the [TRANSLATION:DWARF] to :STEIR] in entity_default.
And [SPEECH] in creature_standard.

I also used less words, I cut out the extra bunch after "mountain" in their speech file (language_DWARF > _STEIR), and did likewise in the language_words.

My problem is, in world gen, none of the translations show up;

Quote
, "the wonderous realm"

And then it crashes if I try to view the legends.

Help?

Updated

I duplicated the custom language file, language_STEIR.txt and renamed it language_DWARF.txt.

Now it works. Partially. The world names were working, but the legends still crashed. I made another world after changing all speeches and translations to Steir, it being the only completed language. Now i'm back to square one with the broken world names AND legends crashes.

Fixed. I changed all the language files' names so that they were individual (Obvious, now). This was only half the problem. I duplicated the steir file and changed it to Dwarf settings, using my language's words. All solved.
