Holy carp, people and their long hair. I'll second that that's a rather cute picture though, Renault. If it's any consolation, I had a pair of old jeans with big Blue-and-Black stripes on the sides, which used to belong to my 40-year-old uncle. I wore those things every week for close to 5 years before they finally wore out. :/

Also yeah, Heat + Hair (especially long hair) is bad news.

If curly hair is caused by hydrogen bonding, what causes wavy hair? Only some hydrogen bonding?

The proteins in your hair are a repeating sequence. Thus, repetitions of weak, localized H-bonds cause regular curving in otherwise straight hair, IE waves.

I thought hydrogen bonds were the strongest variety of intermolecular bonding?

No, they're the weakest. They're also what gives water many of its unique qualities.

I grow facial hair as fast as a Dwarf, I get the 5 oclock shadow on both ends of the time scale...
I never get to grow it big at all, folks complain to the point I shave just to shut them up. But after striking a deal and as long as I manicure it I can grow the old goatee and moustashe. Its around an Inch long atm...

This thread is now about hair.

I had it shoulder long, even though it looked terrible.
Now I have it short, because this is healthier for it (used to have a lot of hair breakage).

I have mine a few inches long at the moment, but I usually keep it rather short.

Okay to get this thread back on track I just finished up a drawing of my character.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

That's him with some friends when he had his longest hair. Although now, on the island, it's much shorter.

MZ, you looked vaguely like 80's Michael Jackson in that picture. You are a damned attractive dude. I am also envious of Tylui's hair... I only get red in my beard.

Anyway, this is apparently a new picture thread. I propose that all characters who haven't already accompany their characters with sketches such as these, to help us visualize the horrible suffering meted out by our cruel Game-Master God.

We had 15, but sadly Jervous fell into the sea, and was promptly eaten by a swarm of vicious Mackerel.

I thought it was the plankton that got him?

...I wonder if this island is going to have a coral reef?
