Mars- geostationary Orbit - Cerberus 1

Magos Tutoris Jornum Excell waited impatiently for the arriving shuttle to dock with the mighty Orbital Station which guarded Mars from the Enemies of the Imperium. His Logis-Servitor X-V4-Calcus began to ratter down in the soulless fashion his Vox-amplifier allowed:

Docking procedure...done

Proceed to the Arrival Area

' Mars. The true heart of the Imperium. I have long awaited this day.' Gerhardt muttered, as if he could already feel the majesty of the Mechanicum's home world.

Mattheo:

You slowly walk towards the plugged in Cogitator Servitor which controls many of the Ships functions and try to plug him out. Before you can even react the pilot stands right next to you and throws you out of his ship. You find yoursef in the gigantic arrival hall of the Station. Imperial Insignias are everywhere and several small groups of Skitarii patrol the area. Of far more interest for the three of you is however the Magos Tutoris right in front of you. He is making quite an impressing figure, with his 2 metres of height he even overshadows Mattheo and contrary to your rather basic bionics, The Magos sports several mechadendrites which erect from his back. His eyes both are well crafted bionics whose green glmmer jumps from one to another of you three. Although quite seldom for his rank The Magos mouth hasn't been replaced by a vox-amplifier.

Good Morning, Newcomers. I am Magos Tutoris Jornum Excell. I am here to ensure that everyone of you gets a basic grasp of the Adeptus Mechanicus workings, his place in it and that each and everyone of you finds the way to his training facility. But first of all i need you to confirm that you have understood all of the following rules:

1. Do NOT touch anything
2. Do NOT wander off alone without my allowance
3. If you should get lost do NOT try to find anyone. Wait at your position until a Servitor or somebody else comes by and explains you the way.
4. Follow all of my orders no matter how absurd they sound to you

Should anyone of you fail to obey those rules, you will be expelled from the Adeptus Mechanicus and or terminated or recommended for Servitude Imperpituis. Any questions?

After listening to the rules and memorizing them as best he could, Mattheo replied: 'No, Lord Magos. All is clear.'
He then gawked at the splendor of the Arrival Area, and it's many features. After a while, his attention is drawn to the mechadendrites and their hypnotic movement.

The Magos notices Mattheos blatant fascination for the mechadendrites and smiles.

You seem quite fascinated by my "tentacles" ,as some Menials would call them vulgarly, Adept Mattheo. I assure you, when you will be assigne to your task you might get the honour to get htem for yourself, but pleasse stop staring, it's seen as an affront by some of the Magi. You surely wouldn't like it if someone would stare at your arms all the time would you?

Instantly his smile vanishes and he starts moving forward past two 10 meter high statues depicting Skitarii warriors and through a massive steel gate into a long hallway. You try to follow him quickly and end up in a long hallway in which several saints of the Imperial Belief are arrayed on the left side and 16 Depictures containing the Essence of the Universal Laws. In front of each Imperial Shrine is a small basin with purified water, while on the Cult Mechanicus side are several altars with utensils. He leads you to the first one. It's a massive depiction of an Tech-Adept being executed in an excessively horrible way after he hit the wrong button in an ritual. As you reach the altar a small Mechadentride with an Ocular at its front emerges and stare very long at each of you. Finally a loud monotonous voice echoes seemingly from everywhere:

To break with the Ritual is to Break with the Faith.

The Magos bows deeply in front of the Altar.

To follow the Ritual is to soothe the Machine Ghost

He stands up, grabs a small spraying device from the table and oils the Ocular in ritual oils. Next he inserts it in a small drawer in the Altar exactly for three seconds before removing it an laying it back in its original place.

You may pass Magos...

Silently the Magos steps aside and watches the three of you intently...

(In thought)
The Magos may pass, but not yet us three...
Even though we were said not to touch anything, to break with the ritual is to break with the faith, and the faith is higher than a Magos' command. Therefore:

Copy the Magos exactly:
Bow in front of the Altar, Stand up if you hear 'To follow the Ritual is to soothe the Machine Ghost', Grab the small spraying device the Magos used, oil the Ocular with the oils, Insert it into the Altar's small drawer for Exactly three(free=three, correct?) seconds, then place it back on it's original spot.

Alternately, if i am told that i may pass after just the bow, i will do that.

(Uhm the Magos said those words...but ill gather it that you will say those)

Mattheo:

You bow deeply in front of the Altar, and once more the voice seems to echo through the hall:

To break with the Ritual is to Break with the Faith.

you do exactly same as the Magos and although you do not follow exactly the 3 seconds(it where 3,1 seconds) he seems quite content. You step next to him and watch how the others fare...

I bow, wait for the voice, then carefully do what Magos did.

Being the copy-cat I am, I just follow the others' example and do the same things.

You all follow the same ritual and everytime the machine lets you through, but more importantly the Magos seems to be content with all of you.You walk towards the next Shrine. On the left side is again some sort of imperial Saint who sacrifices himself. As you reach the next altar the voice emerges anew:

The Flesh may fail, but the Ritual soothes the Machine Ghost.

On the wall are pictures of an Tech priest being burned by flames, but surviving due to his bionic innards. In the altar are two basins, one filled with a clear fluid, the other being filled with holy oils.

Choose wisely Adepts, to soothe the Machine Ghost you have to keep your hand in one of the basins for one minute to soothe it. The flesh may fail but through the ritual, the fallibility of the flesh might be compensated.

Put my Right hand into the clear liquid. Hold it there for a full minute whatever happens. Should i get horribly burned, sprinkle some holy oils on it after the one minute using my left hand.
(some holy oils means about a teaspoon)
