Well, i was carrying this Idea around wiht me for a while now and finally i got enough time and i am bored enough to try it out.
YOU my friends(to be specific 3 of you) are lowly Menials and Reclamaitors in the service of the Adeptus Mechanicus who have shown great skill in their doings and earned the respect and trust of it. But you not gained that, your my dear sirs, have earned yourselfs the title of an Adept. A highly honoured title only given to the most skilled workers and civilians. This title enables you to raise from the squalor of the Hiveworlds and to gain yourself fortune, wealth and respect and more importantly: power!
now that you have gained the title of an Tech-Adept or Adept Technicus in High Gothic, the next step would be to choose into which of the following fields you would like to contribute to the Quest for Knowledge:
Biology and Genetics
Everything organic we know of is simply machinery, in one form or another. Tendons replace pistons; flesh in the place of steel; blood is simply biological coolant. To deny this and shun it is more than just Mechanicus orthodoxy – it is idiocy.
You have chosen to learn in the fields of Biology! You will learn about the anatomy of various species as well as their genetic structure and eventually you will be able to merge the flesh of the mortal with the immortal blessed material of the Omnissiah. Or you go even deeper into the fields of Genetics and produce perfectly grown beasts of war.
possible careers:
Magos Genetor
Magos Biologis
Magos Organos
Magos Explorator
Magos Xenobiologis
allowed fields of Research:
Biology
Genetics
Xenobiology
unallowed fields of Research:

Cybernetics
There is no way in which the fully realised sentience of a machine could not be of benefit to us. As it is, the Machine Spirit is revered, yet in permanent bondage, its full potential shackled by petty fears. I seek to terminate this state of affairs.
you have always been fascinated by the Legio Cybernetica. Those semi-intelligent robots thrown into battle to save the space marines or even lowly guardsman. To often they are not mourned or even honoured for their prowess in battle. And although the mortality rate of an Tech-Adept in the service of the Legio Cybernetica lies at 90% you seek to end this!
possible Careers:
Magos Cybernetica
allowed Fields of Research:
Cybernetics
restricted Fields of Research:
Silica Animus(A.I. or Abominable Intelligence)
The Way of the Machine Spirit
When uttering the incantation, mark well that the rod is upon and not within the intake. The second incantation should not be uttered until all the fumes have come forth, then the way shall be clear for the sacred words to penetrate unto the heart of the engine. If the mounting be hot say the third rune, if it be cold the fourth rune is more appropriate. For then the wrath of the engine will be aroused...
You were always been intimidated by the mighty machine spirits. The complex rituals to awake and control them have fascinated you and your Left Cortex sparked in glee when you could see an Emperor Titan stomping an enemy batallion...
possible careers:
Enginseer in service of the Imperial Army
Magos Technicus
Enginseer in service of the Ordo Reductor
Enginseer in service of the Adeptus Titanicus
Enginseer in service of the Centurio Ordinatus
possible fields of research:
no active Research in this field
unallowed fields of research:
Data Corrupted
The Way of the War-Machine
We are all but a weapon in the right hand of the Emperor.
Why inventing tools of war, when one can cleanse the weakness of flesh from himself and at the same time turn himself to a weapon of war?
possible Careers:
Adept in Service of the Auxilia Myrmidon
Magos Militant in Service of the Tech Guard
fields of Research:
none
unallowed fields of Research
Data Corrupted
Manufactoring,Repair and Maintenance
And when at last he came upon the vehicle, he perceived the distress of the engine therein and forthwith struck the rune and it was good. Thereupon the engine ignited and was filled with strength...
All those fancy new innovations are laughable for you? The flesh is weak in your Opinion? You don't trust the Machine Spirits? And you never were quite the fighter?
possible careers
Magos Metallurgicus
Magos Artisan
Magos Technicus
allowed research:
research? LAUGHABLE! The Holy Machine God spread the STCs for a reason!
restricted research:
hmm the Data of this STC seems corrupt. BUt this would beheresy there is nothing as a corrupt STC!

Requested Field of Research: Cybernetics
Bionics up to now: Large plate replacing the left side of his skull, attached to which are some small communications antennae, interfacing with the brain. And Right pinky finger.
Looks: Large-ish at 1.90m, bald because with hair he'd look ridiculous (half hair, half metal...). Generally skinny, but agile. Top-heavy because of his headgear, Carries heavy things in his right hand because the metal pinky finger provides more support than the flesh-bone-and-tendon one.
Personal Information: From Praetoria, quickly affiliated with the Mechanicus to have easier access to basic supplies. He wasn't found useless and thus lived. Has been happily serving for a while now, and has shown talent for Robotic command and maintainance. His pinky finger was lost for having a not-quite-properly-tied shoelace in his youth, the resulting punishment driving him to his career with the Mechanicus. His Skull was severely fractured in an accident with heavy maintenance equipment, and was thereafter replaced.
