"Well we need to get across the channel first of all so I suggest we head east towards Suffolk and get to a port. Remember to save enough money on the journey so that we can hire a ship.

Sorry for the massive double post, I must have made some big mistake editing.

A turn would be around one day, or until something interesting happen. Also, as far as money go, you've got quite a lot of it around here already. (1L 5s is around 6 months worth of a Thatcher's wage).

Jetsquirrel: Looking at the herbs in your possession, you recognize Sage, St John's wort, Chamomile, Gentian and a few other plants you can't identify. You really wish you'd spend less time drinking and more time listening to your master.

You all head east, along the banks of the Nene, strolling trough the countryside and generally enjoying yourself. You cross a couple of small nondescript hamlets, and arrive at a crossing. After 10 km (I know km are anachronistic, but I'll use them anyway) you arrive at a crossing. 10 km to the north lie the market town of Wellingsborough, where a great many wares are sold. To the east is the bridge over the Nene, and the road to Cambridge. What do you do?

Also, historically Wellingsborough's market was sheduled on Wednesday, so I'll assume we're on Tuesday.

The town is still 8 km away. I take it you choose to go to Wellingsborough rather than East.

Also, long-term goal is to reach Jerusalem, not Cambridge. :p
I know. But Cambridge is the closest route to the sea.

Wait for the market.Run errands to get some money in the mean time.

Also, you guys are making it hard to stick together.

After some more walking, you get to Wendligburg. The town is rather small and crowded by merchants trying to get their goods inside the city. As you cross the gates, the bell of Croyland Abbey strike 4 time. You realize you didn't eat since this morning, and you feel quite weak. What do you do?

Note: Change the name of the city to its real medieval name.

Tomas1297: You go in the town's main square and eat some bread and cheese. You then walk away looking for a way to make some money, but only after agreeing to meet at this very place at dusk.

Your search is quite unfruitful, in part because your reputation as no-gooder is strongly established in the whole Shire. Finally, as you wander outside the town's gate, a stranger propose you a way to make some money.
"Hey lad, I'll give you 2 farthings if you can take this here packet to my associate Jhon Dyrke at the Goat and Cheese. Oh, and no need to show it to the guards!"

 Sounds fishy.

Refuse work.Walk around in town randomly looking for something interesting.Meet with the others when it's time to.

Jetsuirrel: You're luckier than your friend, you find some work cleaning a stable and are now two farthing richer. Not bad! The downside is that your clothes are really, really stinky now.

All of you head to a cheap hostel (1 farthing/night, oatmeal gruel included). The next morning, after your plain but filling breakfast, you change clothes (Especially Leidei, who need it) and head of to the market. The central square of the town is full with stall selling almost anything you can think of. Singers and artists are entertaining the crowd. Pickpockets are well, picking pockets.

In the centre of the square a monk in brown clothes is making a speech, but you can't hear him from where you stand.

This is the perfect place to buy what you'll need for your long trip, and to enquire about the best way to get a ship for the Continent.

Look for a bedroll or anything I can use to sleep on the ground more comfortably and then listen to the monk
