Country: out of the way, secluded, easy getaway, can store lots of stuff and nobody gets supicious

I should probably mention now that the mansions come fully furnished, with an office to do business. The city structure comes with a vault and produces more income and has a lot more space, but it's unfurnished with no rooms to sleep in.

You can buy more than one base, you only have to live in one. Your workers lead their own lives, so you don't need to provide space for any of them. Alice is your starting right hand "man." After we pick the base we'll need to find a consigliare, he/she is the only member of our crime syndicate that HAS to live with us.

Suburb mansion - This mansion is stylish, and starts with a vault and security system. It has plenty of space for storing weapons if you need to. If you use this base the police are less likely to go into large scale shootouts with you.

Country mansion - This lovely countryside abode comes with plenty of land to build on, and a farm and workers. If you pick this base the police usually won't know where you live. This base is the most calm of the three.

City structure - This fine piece of masonry stands low, but proud in the big city. It offers a vault, plenty of work space, and you can start a business immediately with it. The police will have a harder time getting to this base due to heavy traffic.

Each base starts with a television with cable access. A computer with an internet hookup. And a bedroom for you to sleep in. You'll also have Alice to drive you around once the round actually starts, so just say if you want to sell the old one.

You and Alice drive back to her place in the suburbs. She says she'll introduce you to her boss tomorrow, and you pass out on the couch.
You meet the man himself. Lance DeLarone, the head of this city's most well respected mafia family. He thanks you for your roundabout way of dealing with the threats and asks if you want to join his family. You think for a minute and realize you are no longer content with being some mere worker under something bigger. You turn down his offer and instead ask for his support as you start your own family. "Sure, I can offer you a small mansion I own in the countryside. It has a farm, and people to work the farm. Food is no problem there. Anything else you need?"
You ask for Alice, and a vault for your new home. Lance hesitates, but gives you what you asked for.

You take your car and head to your new home. Lance informed the workers that you were the new owner, and they quickly unpack your luggage for you and get back to working the fields. You consider having Alice move in so you can just sell your current car and use hers, but decide against it. You realize that none of the workers here seem to be the guard type. You also realize you have yet to get revenge on the man you saw with your fiance. Even worse is that you have no consigliere to handle any affairs. You're a sitting duck.

I'll be posting missions we can take, known families, base upgrades, and our inventory under separate spoilers. I will use the OP to list skills, so go there for that.

Absorb the gang: These are negotiation missions, they give you guards, money, terf, and more negotiation skill.

Kill the cheat: A revenge mission. These give you more Mob Mentality.

Consigliere: This is a one time only mission. He is a predetermined character you can get at any point, he comes with level 15 negotiation, level 20 man of business, and level 30 boxing. Yes he IS that good.

The upgraded suit is black, actually has a tie, and has a hat.
The better Pistol can hold 7 round clips, and comes with a complimentary laser sight.

You decide to grab your money and buy better pistols. You sell your old ones. You put 3 of your silencers on the new pistols and test out the laser sight. Everything appears to work. You pass by a clothing store and become instantly mesmerized by a black 3 piece suit that comes with a free hat. Forgetting yourself you buy the suit and walk out of the store in your new threads.
You decide to have lunch at a nearby restaurant where you meet an old school friend. He greets you, but seems rather down. You discover that his wife of 3 years filed for a divorce after his company fired him. You see yourself from a week ago in him and ask him to come with you back to your mansion.
After a few hours of catching up you tell him of your family and invite him to join as your Consigliere. He seems hesitant, but agrees to take the job.
