I have a feeling that this update will be rather fun to write.

You tell Logan to go fetch beverages, and have Alice help you carry Emma to your bed. Ignoring how creepy this might look to an outsider you grab a chair in your room and sit in front of the bed as you wait for her to wake up. It takes a few minutes, but she eventually does. Your sick sense of humor compels you to grab your gun and give a bad Godfather impression, but your better judgment tells you not to.

You: "Yo."
Emma: "I-uh, I'd better get going now... so if you'll excuse m-"
You: "Logan go block off all the entrances and exits, Alice close the door."
Logan: "Whatever..."
Alice: "Okay, boss."
Emma: <scream of horror>
You: "Calm down."

After a while of talking you manage to calm Emma down, though she still won't talk to you directly. After a while of talking you convince her not to leave. Alice seems to be impressed with your leadership, and Emma doesn't seem to completely despise you anymore. Victory?

It was depressing not getting to do the joke, but this was still fun to write.

Ooo! Tell her that if she doesn't help us, then people who need her expertise will die. "We aren't the kind of mob who will slay helpless people" (without proper reasonings...) "and we dont bully around old store-owners... so we aren't evil, just trying to right the wrongs in the world, and if it requires some illegal practices, then so be it....."

Evergod I kind of hate how you're exposing the eventual plot so early.
Also we can't say that we aren't bullies since we just beat a guy to near death, shot off his thumb, stole all his socks, stole his refrigerator, blew up his car, shot holes into his toilets, and poured milk all over his dining room floor over an issue that happened a few in-game years ago during Freed's college years.

Think of something else to say, since Freed hasn't established his 'righteous villain' status yet.

How about telling her she could try to stop innocent people dying if things get out of hand as long as she is in 'the family' and point out that you are going to need some people around who don't call a bullet to the brain 'negotiation'?

Currently we call a bullet to the foot, and forced use of Logan negotiation, but I can tell what you mean by that.

You tell Emma the cold truth. She could stop needless bloodshed, but if she doesn't work for you most of those people will end up with the streets as their graveyard. She thinks long, and hard. She eventually accepts being a part of the family.

Hrm, well, we could go do another coffee-shop fiasco, but I say do the story quest.

When I use PROGRESS!! to have random events happen it's usually a one time thing. If we were to go drink half the menu at that coffee shop again we'd pass out from caffeine overdose. It worked the first time because I liked the idea of running out of a coffee shop and screaming things related to what we were about to do, then sprinting off in the general direction of where those things are.

You talk with your head family members for a while. You hear a knock on the door, something about "this is the police come out with your hands up" or some nonsense like that. You peak outside the door. Lo and behold, it's a cop, whoopdy doo. You shoot him in the head, then go back to your conversation. Alice calls the gang over to clean up the mess, and dispose of the evidence. Emma is shaking, and you reassure her that it was for the best. The workers scoff at Emma, and she attempts to put on an air of confidence. She clearly fails.

Can someone bump the inventory for me? Also we killed a cop, but that isn't the end of this whole shibang, we've still got stuff to do. For now what shall we do to progress the mission?

Have logan hack into the local police's database, so that we can track and hopefully modify, their records.

Also, try and find out what the copper wanted from the database,  try to find out whether we actually have been linked to any of our crimes and if so why they sent only one guy.
I don't know why but I have a bad feeling about this, can we reinforce our base in case of a seige?

You tell Logan to hack into the police headquarters database to figure out why a cop was here. He sighs then gets to work.
Alice gathers the weapons, and the gang has just finished cleaning the mess you made. An hour passes and Logan figures out that we're under suspicion for an armed robbery at one of the largest banks in the city. It happened during your few hours of Coffee Mode, so you aren't sure why you're being linked to it. Regardless you finish your conversation, then have Alice and Logan investigate.
It took all of half an hour for them to find the cause. It turns out that some of the lesser families don't agree with Lance, and think you should be taken out. It also turns out that every one of these families was warring over that decent sized slum you happily call your territory, and aren't happy that you managed to take it with such ease.

Alice gives you the location of all 6 families. How shall we proceed?
