Creation of reaction fortress mode shops:
« on: September 24, 2010, 07:15:14 pm »

Would something like this be possible?

Basic Idea:
Create custom shops that have the following inputs and outputs:

Inputs:Coins

Outputs: Depends upon the individual type of custom shop.
(unfortunately all armor is large size as I recall).

Quarry: Stones
Prospector's shop: Various ores.
Forester's shop: Wood, Ammunition, charcoal
Farmer's Market/Restaurant: Food (cooked?)
Pub: Booze
Tailor's shop: cloth (clothing if not large on creation)
Glassworks:  Glass....

you, have to make a reaction for each individual shop, but you could do something like...

[REACTION:COINS_TO_WOOD]
[NAME:exchange coins for wood]
[BUILDING:CUSTOM_WORKSHOP:NONE](your custom workshop goes here in the obvious place)
[REAGENT:A:500:COINS:NO_SUBTYPE:METAL:NONE]
[PRODUCT:100:1:WOOD:NO_SUBTYPE:TOWER_CAP:NONE][PRODUCT_DIMENSIONS:150]
[SKILL:APPRAISAL]

What this *should* do is make any dwarf with Appraisal enabled(so probably any dwarf, because i have no idea how that can be toggled) grab a full stack of coins and bring them to the custom workshop, and stand around for a bit, then poof, you have tower cap logs. Higher appraisal would make the exchange faster(so you'd want to profile your workshop to your broker), and it should give a tiny boost to appraisal exp, though i have no clue how much.
