Migrants.

I've recently begun playing this great game, and have recently received a 2nd load of migrants. The catch is, none of them have skills that my fortress can use at this point and when directed to do other stuff via the preferences screen they still do nothing! How can I get them to train up the necessary skills/what do I do with them?

If you're running .13 this is a known bug that was fixed in .14 (released yesterday)

This is a feature, not a bug, correct?
You're playing Dwarf Fortress.  There isn't much of a distinction.

Alternatively, Dwarf Therapist can assign them labours in the normal way.

Yes, that's right, you too can have drunks operating your magma forges and flooding devices!
