Have all three Athena MK II's and 200 legion begin upgrading the athena battleship with robot factories, solar panels, and 60000 gun batteries plus quadruple the size of the ship ( Name it The Fire of Freedom and begin the war against blobs ) The athena MK II's Have no loyalty towards the blobs

Come on, we don't need von neumann probe right now. We can wait until the Not-Blobs are defeated. Then I vote we go and ally with Jethro against the Non-Blobs, and then betray it and kill it.

The legion will run out of resources sooner or later, and there are many things it can't do. The Von Neuman probes are basically the same things, built for the same reason, but bigger and safer and better.

The probes require more resources and can only really increase in numbers over a larger time frame then we want to be acting within. Maybe once we've dealt with the Not-Blobs, but until then we need short term defences.
