Huh really? I didn't really look around after my turn. I'll go take a look at things.

And where did Analog run off to? His turn was almost at an end.

I'm getting there. I just had one of those Sundays with lots of stuff in them. I'll try finishing my turn tonight or tomorrow morning.

3rd Moonstone of 1052
Stupid miners. You'd think if I laid out plans for the magma-works (and I know my magma works, I'm a motherloving GODSMITH!!) they'd quietly start digging out the rooms and channels but NOOOOOOOOOO, instead they stop multiple times a day because "the stone is warm"...

Shouldn't you be happy that you can work in a warm environment because I don't think Grendel is happy cutting down trees in the blizzard above. Satori, I love you and all your horse-loving quirks but if you don't get to work I'm going to slap you with a kitten!!!  >:(

5th of Moonstone 1052
Besmar Picktwinkle ( :o), one of the many immigrants who did not realize we settled on a haunted glacier has gone very secretive... As long as he does not make stupid requests he can have his secret fun for all I care. Some dog leather, some donkey leather and some cat leather with a pine log is all he needs. Way better than Glassy McDead who's body still lays in the meeting area. Let's hope Picktwinkle makes something nice.

14th of Opal 1052
Picktwinkle's done. It's an amazing donkey leather high boot with not one but TWO depictions of our settlement in 1051. And a square in cat leather. She must really like it here. I do too with my SIX kitty cats. Satori complains sometimes but you don't hear me questioning here love for horses for their "strength".

17th of Opal 1052
The first birth is a fact! Besmar Picktwinkle  and Kosoth Cloistereddaubs are happy to welcome Ushrir Masteredinks into their family. Fueled by this bundle of joy Grendel and Glenneth have decided to marry as well. Party at the cat cage!  8) We jammed a bit with me on drums and Glenneth on the violin while the kitties gave their best meow. Now four of us starting seven have found each other.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

12th of Obsidian 1052
The magma-works are up and running. I've ordered some idler and stragglers from the party to start melting down all the limonite, magnetite, lignite and bituminous coal. We'll have our very own steel-clad champions in no time! Meanwhile I went through the fort with Satori to see where we could dig out more metal and coal. She knows her way around these mines like it's all she ever knew. I think she might be better suited than me if we want to enlarge this fort in a sensible manner.

1st Of Granite 1053
It's official! I'm resigning as overseer to make room for Satori. She knows where the most precious metal are located and I've had my fill of ordering everyone around for now. The fort is still alive and has enough food and booze for everyone! In reality it just means I'll lead the fort from behind the scenes  8)
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Okay I'm done ... I ..uh... let it run until the 3rd of Granite I hope you don't mind lolghurt.
Some things I build/dug out:
-Made sure the booze flowed! I started with about 20 units of booze  :o
-Ice wall perimeter with one bridge in and out!
-Storage and industry on two separate levels and the sleeping quarters about seven levels down.
-Magma forges and smelters are operational
-All three caverns are discovered. Only the first is open to animals/FB/...
-Take note that there is a dog/puppy and cat/kitten expedition group in cave two. I accidentally locked them out and haven't bothered getting them back.  :)
-You can find most things with the hot-keys F1-7 for easy navigation.
-I'VE GOT MANY CATS!!!

JOURNAL OF SATORI, MINER
It worked! I managed to pass myself off as a dwarf, when I am really a Satori. I wasn't expecting that, being named after my species. What idiots.
7th Granite
WHY HAVE WE NOT TAPPED THAT ADAMANTINE VEIN YET?
MUCH FUN WILL BE HAD IF WE DO. I CAN TELL.

19th Granite
Hmmm, there's warm stone in the layers above the pillar. Hopefully that's not more magma.
WHAT?! NO MECHANICS WORKSHOP ANYWHERE?!
I MUST HAVE LEVERS FOR MY SPIKE TRAPS TO DEAL WITH THOSE CLOWNS.
I also believe I am pregnant.

24th Slate
The trap is beginning to take shape. This will be awesome.

14th Felsite
This mining is sure getti-

Satori is taken by a fey mood!
OOC:Analog I'm ninja-ing your character till the mood is over because he's married to mine. Also, remember this:
Oh in all the excitement I forgot to mention Satori and I are married! Now for the baby-making! Just like the kitty-cats!
I'm altering the raws and removing the [MULTIPLE_LITTER_RARE] tag from dwarfs. Just like kitty-cats.

14th Felsite, 47 pages later.
I, Hephaestus, Will be writing shorthand events in my beloved Satori's journal until she stops screaming on about Giant Cave Spiders. Anyway, Elven Caravan came.
Later, Satori claimed a Mason's workshop. Funny, I didn't know she had any ability as a mason, but rather as a stonecrafter. I hope she doesn't want any bismuth bronze, as she just used the last of it in the Spike traps just outside the forge.

OOC:BLOODY HELL SHE WANTS PITCHBLENDE. As a plus I pick the "do whatever the dwarf wants me to do" way of continuing once she goes insane. Also I'm using my weird fortress, In which it may rain various material, or just bug up all together.
24th Felsite
Of all the things she could want she wants, she wants Pitchblende. Why does my beloved seek such a weird gem?
What was thaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.

OOC: Fucking Antivirus. What the hell did you just do. I'll get back to this in a few hours.minutes. Thank god it only vaulted
half the save instead of wiping.
okay she's working on her artifact now for some reason. It's also acting like she's possessed.

28th Felsite
Well that sure was a weird feeling. Like half of you was suddenly torn away. I wonder what caused it? Hopefully it doesn't happen again.

4th Hematite
I went and showed Hephaestus my artifact today. Couldn't find any pitchblende so I just grabbed some magnetite. It wasn't a particularly large detail, so it doesn't really matter.

It's probably made from baby bone, with a handle of baby leather. Probably uses the leg bones wound together for the handle, the pelvis for the handle/pick joint, and the pick is the spine.

But that's all in theory, of course. Not like I've made a pick out of my own 5 month old baby before.

Downloading save.
Something's utterly killing my bandwidth (between 0 and about 10kbps)
It may be some time (a day, maybe) before I can actually play it

EDIT: Internet's fucked, probs won't be able to get the save for a few hours
EDIT2: THE INTERNET IS FUCKING WITH ME. THE MOMENT I POSTED THE ABOVE EDIT THE DOWNLOAD JUMPED FROM 0.1 to 70KBPS. DEPENDING ON HOW MUCH OF AN ASSHOLE THE INTERNET IS, I MAY BEGIN IN A FEW MINUTES.

Armok willing, that is :)

I'm hoping we can make pudding out of babies, or set them on fire to clear some of the snow. :3

Sure, they'll be fine. :D

I love it how DF doesn't need to be all politically correct and not kill babies and children.

Hell, if I could get my adventurer to eat sentient beings, I would eat the flesh of a child, just cause I can.
