And snatchers would hunt not just kids(damn pedophiles), bus females as well to sell as slaves.

It was MORE common in ancient societys, then homosexualism.
And less...unnaturall.

Well, not much(i do remeber Greek myths and there was a LOT of forced sex)...
(I`ve studied biology instead of history =) )
Well, yeah, there was some homos armys, that almost conqered the world, but that just disgusting =)

But i dont remember them having chainmail, crossbows, steel, water powered mills, automatic traps and so on.

Things like sexual selection, survival of the fittest sapient beings(including eugenics), creatinging harems of strong females to be sexed by strongest males to create race of phisically supreme warriors and so on is much more interesting than having bunch of gays in a fort (i`d just throw them to FB anyway). =)

Man, isnt eugenics exciting???

And war rape was as usual thing as pillaging!
Or rather it WAS part of pillaging!

Or just google "war rape wiki" and read about how COMMON it was!

And i`m not talking about morality. I`m talking about reality!
You want game to include sexual minority - fine. But i think, that sexual related things(sexual selection, war repes and so on) is just more important to a game.

Ya got me there. Still, I'd file rape under the same category as feces/urine: would the game really be in any way improved by including it? Realism alone is never a good enough reason.

Homosexuality would add a bit of character to your dwarves at least. Adding rape would do what? Goblins are evil enough, and it would be out of character for dwarves (at least until they stop being abstinent before marriage and 100% faithful to their spouse).


If a viable gameplay reason to include rape arose, I wouldn't be against it. Nor would I be against it for characterization of dwarves/historical figures, but again dwarves would need some behavioral changes before it'd make sense.

I just dont want to have some real homodwarves rattling around in dwarf fortress.

Hey, Urine/Feces would actually be good for the game, urine could be used for removing stains and crap could be used for fertilizing.

Dramatic events, possible motives for revenge, unwanted half-breed races with odd abilities...

"My name is Inigo Montoya. You raped my mother, prepare to die."

And I want to see what the product of a union between a dwarf and a fluffy wambler would be.

Urine had a very large role in medieval crafting, especially with making dye for cloth.
