artifact figurines
« on: September 22, 2010, 07:23:45 pm »

I have 8 seperate artifact figurines, and as far as I can tell, they are useless. does anybody know a way to use them to decorate rooms or something?

If I had a monkey, I would borrow my moms sewing machine and make my monkey a little monkey suit. Then if anyone said "Thats not a real monkey, it's just a monkey suit, I can see the zipper", I could say "I bet you fifty dollars it is a real monkey" and when they said "that seems like a reasonable bet, you are on", my monkey would take off the monkey suit and they would have to pay me fifty dollars.

I just make a stockpile for everything with a final quality of artifact only in my dining hall.

Dunno if it affects anything, but it's neato. Until some idiot hauler puts a bin in it and crams all your artifacts in it.

You could just limit bins in that stockpile to zero to prevent that.

You need to use it in a construction (i.e. the mentioned Display Case) for it to add to a room's value.

Once there's one in it already it's too late, apparently. I'd dump  the bin but i'm afraid half my fort will flip out and start murdering each other over losing their artifacts.

They'll dump the artifacts onto the ground when removing the bin - you can't dump artifacts.

Display cases are the way to go.  Search modding forum, thread title "This belongs in a museum" or something like that
