*~The Chronicles of Angelashes~*

***

Angelashes is open to newbies only. Newbie is defined as someone who has only a few months or so of play experience, and has not completely mastered all the elements of the game.

***

Embark Location

***

Prologue, 1st Journal Entry of Un67 Oltarsemor, Overseer

Angelashes. Really, out of all of the names that they could have given an outpost, why did they choose Angelashes? They chose seven of us, almost randomly as it was, and told us that "we must expand our influence to the south if we seek to survive". Well, that's great and all, but none of us are very skilled as it is, and I am merely a metalsmith working to build up the Dwarven Army. A suicide mission, as it is. Alas, what the Mountainhomes says is what goes, and I quickly surveyed my 6 comrades, and asked them what their professions were.

Spoiler: Asob, Miner/Mason (click to show/hide)

And of course everybody's favorite Overseer, Un67.

I then took a look at what the Mountainhomes provided us.

***

1st Granite, 2nd Journal Entry of Un67 Oltarsemor, Overseer

Finally, we arrive. There is but one thing we can do now... strike the earth! For the glory of the Mountainhomes!

OOC Stuff:

There are currently 4 turns reserved. After that, first come, first serve. People who will take one of these turns will get priority on dorfing, but besides that, go ahead and ask to be dorfed. Not many rules for this, but I would like to ask that you don't build levers without labeling, and actually do something for the fortress. Don't stall. Besides that, feel free to be creative, and learn!

***

Dorfed People:

Un67 (Weapon/Armor Smith)
Brocktree (Carpenter/Mechanic/Grower)
Zaik (Woodcutter/Herbalist/Axdwarf)
lolghurt (Broker/Cook/Brewer/Craftsdwarf)
Painiac (Miner/Mason)
Trooper0102 (Fisherdwarf/Armor User)

***

People to be Dorfed:

dwarf -lover- (Indirectly as (s)he wants a turn)
Xenos (Indirectly as the next turn is reserved for him (her?) )

***

Turns:

1. Un67 (Current)
2. Xenos
3. lolghurt
4. Brocktree
5. Trooper0102
6. dwarf -lover-
7. Zaik
8. Painiac

(Next update coming tomorrow or on friday.)

Nitpick: It's a succession fort.

Otherwise, good luck! You'll need it!

Can i be dwarfed as the carpenter/mechanic/grower?

Also, is it ok if we are not 1337 enough to use ASCII and use a graphics pack, or is that out of the question?

You can use a graphics pack, but I personally prefer ASCII as a former nethack player.

and the graphics pack can't be the Ironhands one, as it changes the raws. Unless you can use it without altering the raws.

It's probably made from baby bone, with a handle of baby leather. Probably uses the leg bones wound together for the handle, the pelvis for the handle/pick joint, and the pick is the spine.

But that's all in theory, of course. Not like I've made a pick out of my own 5 month old baby before.

Would love to have a turn in this provided it makes it that far. I've never done one of these before.

I will be dwarfed as Geshud, Named Maribel.
Provided she is still alive when My turn comes around.
And If possible/doable give all unclaimed dorfs the custom profession "Unclaimed one", as I always have a squad of dwarfs called "Wrestler" or whatever their current role is.

Dun forget me! D: I would like a turn.

Also, Can I be Dorfed as the Millita Commander? Perferably a Sword or Axedwarf.

EDIT: I accidentally said captain. I meant the commander :P

Sign me for turn. And, can you dorf me? Smithy or mason preferably, but any adult will do. Name of profession - Saboteur.

Ok, that's 6 people who indirectly or directly want to be dorfed. I'm doing the first update in around 2-3 hours, and I've updated turn order as well.

Is the phoebus pack ok, or does that modify the raws too?

I do belive it does.
Here is what we should do:
When someone wants to use a graphics pack with changed raws, they should rename the ASCII raws to ASCII_raws and then copy the tilesets raws into the save folder. When their turn is over, they rename the current raws folder to something else(I.E. ironhand_raws if they where using the ironhand tileset) and then rename the ascii raws back to just RAWS
