Three quick questions regarding heroes
« on: September 21, 2010, 01:49:35 pm »

I have a few questions regarding heroes

1.  If i retire a hero will he just stick around the area i left him at until he dies or does he actual try to make a living?  Start a family get a different job etc?

2.  If i group up with my retired heroes or anyone else for that matter will they gain skills like the player hero?

3.  Is there anyway to fix broken bones or other ailments?  I see a treatment section after the injuries so there must be some way or am i wrong?

Thanks for your attention and patience  :-X

1. If you retire a hero, they stay in the location you left them, and wander around the town/mountain hall/forest retreat. They do not get families or a house or anything.

2. I think there's a tag in the raw files that determines whether something can get skills. Regardless, ANYBODY you can recruit in adventure mode can learn more skills just as you can. This includes retired adventurers. This means you can train your recruits to be not as useless  :)

3. Most injuries can be fixed with quick traveling. And treatments are not implemented (yet?)

On a pseudo related note, it's the [CAN_LEARN] tag which determines whether or not a creature gains skills.

Nyet problyem. For a Fun challenge try adding it to every creature. To make it impossible try giving them all the [FLIER] Tag as well. Although that's just being masochistic.
