Somehow I have managed to cage the elusive prickle berry seeds! The seeds are inside a wooden cage that could have housed a deer previously, if it matters. Now the cage is sitting in the animal storage, seeds inside.

Do dwarves actually feed captive animals automatically, or do they only get fed as part of the "taming" task?

Only for taming, animals and caged monsters never need to eat otherwise.

and what can we do with thease cages? i mean my dwarfs dont load cage traps but i have cages thay arent just free because they have seeds in them ... so what should i do to libere thease cages?

define a garbage dump and dump the seeds or sell them when traders arrive

I wish I were joking.  But this is what I've done for two herds of camels and a nice pair of raccoons.
