Well my Bandit Kings of Ancient China LP has to be put on hold due my computer barfing dosbox. However I am enjoying playing Hearts of Iron Doomsday lately and I think it has LP potential.
In case you don't know HOI is an extremely realistic WW2/Cold War simulation made by Paradox that allows you to play as any country in the world. Any. Like even pointless ones like Luxemburg or ones that didn't take part like South American countries.
Additionally you can pick what year you start in, your choices being:
* The Road to War, beginning on New Year's Day, 1936;
* The Gathering Storm, beginning in September 1938, just before the Munich Agreement
* Blitzkrieg, beginning with Hitler's declaration of war upon Poland (the Invasion of Poland) on 1 September 1939;
* Awakening the Giant, beginning on 22 June 1941, at the beginning of Operation Barbarossa.
* Götterdämmerung, beginning on 20 June 1944, two weeks after the Western Allies landed at Normandy.

And if anything interesting happens to them I'll tell you! Kind of like I did in Update 7. Except with your character instead of a name from a random name generator set to French mode.
