Call me a coward, but I can't play this game for more than 30 minutes to an hour before being too frightened to continue.

That probably means they did a very good job.

I'm in the wine cellar now, and I'm getting a headache from the constant camera fuckery, is the sanity meter ever going to be more relevant then a big "fuck off" sign to those who get seasick easily?

Bought this game during a steam sale and ran into a problem:
Whenever I start up the game, it minimizes itself to the task bar and my mouse gets stuck in the upper left corner of the screen.

A while back one of my friends came over for a sleep over, made him play this. In pitch black.

I pretended to fall asleep then crept up on him during a tense part, screamed at the back of his head and he fell off his chair.

This happened to me too, but they did a good job with that in that the futher you get the less opportunities for insanity you get. they put in some other stuff instead.
The game had a pleasant atmosphere and and the story was good enough to keep me interested so i played it through in one sitting. Fortunately it did not have any puzzles that were hard only to the fact that the game engine fucked with me like the previous games penumbra and the like.

Played the demo some time ago and now bought it.

I know, I'll be terribly scared when playing it.
Probably will need some breaks in between.

Yeah, you can't actually Look at the monsters for very long, or you go insane. Which is a kick in the balls.

It's on sale for $6.80 today, via Steam.

Gonna point out that I bought three copies for friends and myself, at full price, because the developers are really cool and deserve my moneys.

Do the developers get that much from a steam purchase?

If you got Penumbra (especially thanks to the HIBs) then it's actually a bit cheaper. 76% off instead of 66%. Makes the game more worth it.
