I'd be up for a game. It's a bit of a struggle for my PC to play, though, which might pose some problems.

I'd prefer to be X-Com in multiplayer. It just seems more fun.

That would be awesome, although possibly quite hard to do without giving important info away to the other side.

Well, as long as both sides agree that they're playing for a show instead of playing to win, it could be fun ^^

Well, as long as both sides don't give away their base locations, the breach wouldn't be too bad.  Especially if everything is after the fact.

Most fun would be a narration style that is like a newspaper, with several bits of information labelled classified.  Both sides would be frantically reading each other's reports, searching for clues on their foes!

Also, I'd really like to try this game as the Aliens.

If a gentleman's agreement not to read the spoilers by an LP partner cannot be trusted, then I don't know what to trust.

Joined the Hamachi network. I'd be interested in a game sometime, but I've only played single player so far.

This. Basically you can write your AAR (two of them possibly?) as you play, but you only post it once the game is completely over (either one of the players wins, or they both agree that the outcome of the game is decided).

P.S. I got Ufo working again. Still not sure what was wrong, though...

Played a bit of this, still need to rip the bits from origanl x-com as it's not liking it for some reason but I'd love to get a game when I'm home. I'll investigate the server when I get home.

Gah. I never thought I would be glad to see a snakeman terror mission until I met the mutons. Only had laser guns by then, which they soak up like water. I managed to grab one of their corpses before I fled, so my grunts have slightly better armour.

There is a bug in the game (depending on how you look at it- if you never played the original you wouldn't think it's a bug) that let's you use any equipment you find during a mission. So if you kill a Muton, you can pick up and use his plasma rifle.

Also I'm getting really annoyed with Snakeman terror missions (and the AI never picks anyone esle)- you can kill 4-5 aliens for each soldier you lose, and still they'll kick you butt. And chrysalids kill my tanks like they were made out of butter.

Only an engineer could misspell engineers.

Engineers - Humans will have to catch one engineer to be able to produce avenger. (other option is that one engineer for firestorm, second for lightning, third for avenger)

Also, engineers repair downed UFOs (if one survived). The more that are in the ship the faster it's repaired.
