So...this is a game. You people suggest what our villain here does next, and I roll my virtual dice and try not to be too lazy in my updating ( for the first couple of days, anyways ). But first, you should totally answer these next few questions! It'll be fun!
Unless you'd prefer to listen to some...backstory? And geography? And other things I am probably going to end up contradicting several times through the course of this game?
First, some history:
Once upon a long, long time ago people had science! Really, really awesome science. They somehow discovered magic with this science, and for a few decades, did some really awesome stuff. But then, for some reason, bad stuff started happening, destroying their civilization, and almost the world itself. Nobody knows the details on what it was that destroyed them, but it doesn't seem unreasonable to assume it had something to do with the magic they discovered ( meaning, yes, it did, and no, i'm not going to tell you yet. )
This game is set a few thousand years later. Humanity is slowly recovering, and both magic and science are starting to grow. But all the magic known today requires ancient relics from the Years of Magic ( which is the name historians use for the period between the discovery of magic and all the bad stuff that came from it ), the use of certain plants for magical potions or poisons. Oddly enough, many animals are able to perform some kind of magic instinctively. Science isn’t doing much better, either ( meaning we are currently in the cliche medieval fantasy period of science )
As for geography, it is only 1 continent, although there are a few islands as well. The rest, well, our villain doesn’t know much about maps and such, so I guess you’ll find out when I deem it relevant ( and when I have the time/drive to draw some kind of map ).
Here's where you get to decide some things about the villain.
1. First, we need to decide on a gender for our villain ( or is villain a gender-exclusive term? In that case, villainess, I suppose?)
A. Male
B. Female
2. A name? Just pick a nice one.
3. Our villain lives in a
evil headquarters small, rather shitty house in
A. Shamalama, a large village built on the east coast of the continent. It also has an important port. It is surrounded by forested hills ( except in the east. That would be silly. )
B. Queng-Queng, a large village built next to a volcano. Now, this volcano is still active, but amazing scientific magic protects the village. The volcano itself is located in the west, deep in a vast forest.
C. Sjingpingpong, an extensive series of tunnels and rooms hewn out into the mountainrange in the north of the continent. It was intended to serve as a shelter for everyone during the Bad Stuff Age, but apparently it didn’t save them. It is also giant, and most of the tunnels haven’t been explored yet ( mainly because many of them have also been collapsed ) by it’s population, as they prefer to stay in the rooms and tunnels near the entrances, “where it’s safer”.
D. The capital of the continent, located in the middle of it. It has the largest population of all the cities, but has very plain surroundings. The King resides here, who supposedly rules all of the other cities. In reality, he doesn’t even have any power in the capital itself most of the time.
4. Here, our villain also owns a
A. Small herbalists store, experimenting with and selling potions and poisons
B. A tiny library
C. A small zoo
D. A small temple
Bestiary:
Regenerative bunnies:
Small, cuddly bunnies. They have some kind of magic that can regenerate their bodies. Parts of their bodies that are cut off will also regenerate into new clones, but this requires a lot of magic. If the magic runs out, the bunnies will stop regenerating. It is unknown whether they gain back this magic over time or not. The magic does not protect them from poison.
StanStan:
Mole-like creature with 6 limbs. It can be very aggressive.
Arachnis Tarar:
Tiny cave spiders. They have extremely deadly venom, but their fangs are too tiny to penetrate human skin. Still, they can be milked for their venom, which makes them very useful.
Flying Boulder Creature:
Is it a creature? Is it magic? Is it a combination of both? Either way, it is extremely dangerous, as it is almost immune to damage from most weapons you have available, and it appeared to be very aggressive when you saw it.
