Would anyone like to play... My Life With Master?
« on: September 18, 2010, 01:00:08 pm »

Just gaging interest. Have the rulebook, enjoyed playing in real life, but haven't found anyone interested in a while.

http://www.halfmeme.com/master.html

"MLWM is a horror game about being Igor, Quasimodo, or perhaps the golem of Doctor Caligari. It is the game of being the sick, deformed minion of an evil, demented genius. Archetypically set in a perpetually bleak, terminally isolated rural town in mainland Europe around 1805, you will serve your master by going for bodies, kidnapping beautiful young ladies and quite possibly being killed by the mob in the penultimate act, as they head for your master’s demesne with torches flaming."

Mechanics are pretty neat, setting is wonderful, the game is split into three parts.
First, we design and build the cast. This is the master, the characters, and the building he works in.
Then, we run through a bunch of scenes where the story is built, relationships are made, and the people of the nearby village turn against the master.
Finally, the minions make their last stand, the master is killed, and everyone gets whatever ending is most appropriate.

Could probably do it on the forum itself, actually.

And yeah, I guess I should probably include a link and description. First post is now INCREASED.

Well, the books misplaced for now, but I'll find. Expect an actual thread for this by the end of the week, and we'll begin phase one.

Okay, with you that would be five, and the max players I can handle.

And no, you shouldn't need the book - its mostly a resource for the host, but I do need it to guide a good chunk of the game and for reference. Anything you need to know, I'll explain.

Now I just need to find it...
