So I just started a new fortress in 31.12 and updated it to 31.13 and I had my first death, to thirst for some reason, there was a water source and even alcohol still available but the moron didn't drink for whatever reason...anyway that's besides the point. The problem now is that wile I did make coffins and set up an area for the dead to be laid to rest, none of my dwarves will actually move the body to the coffin. The coffin even says its the grave of so and so but the body just sits were it fell, stinking up the room and no one will move it to the coffin. Am I missing something or is this a bug?
EDIT - So I got the dwarf buried, he was my cook, and he died of thirst because he got stuck in the kitchen after he built it. I figured this out because I just demolished the kitchen the body was in and built a new one elsewhere in the fortress with a new cook. Well as soon as the kitchen was gone dwarves showed up to move the body down to his grave. Meanwhile my new cook built a new kitchen in a new room and was promptly trapped inside it and began to get thirsty. I noticed him not leaving and turned off his cooking thinking maybe despite him not having any cooking assignments lined up in the new kitchen yet he thought he did and was having them override his thirst (I haddn't yet noticed that the old cook had now been moved once the kitchen was demolished). That didn't get him to go get a drink. So I was thinking, "Damn, Im going to loose another cook to thirst, hes even standing in the same part of the kitchen as the other one was just in a different kitchen." It was then I notice the old kitchen had been demolished as I ordered and the body had been removed, *ding* I see whats going on here. So I turn his cooking back on and have him demolish the new kitchen hes stuck in. Yep, as soon as hes done demolishing it he sprints off to get a drink. So yeah, kitchens are death traps, be careful.
