Workshop deconstruction
« on: September 17, 2010, 04:51:27 pm »

If I deconstruct a cluterred workshop, will its items remain (on the ground) or vanish?
Asking just to be sure before possibly making a no-no.

The items will be scattered randomly over a 5X5 tile space centered on where the workshop was.

This is actually a useful thing to do if you have say a craftsdwarf workshop cluttered with thousands of stone mugs.  Deconstruct the workshop, then zone the now cluttered pile of mugs as a finished goods zone.  You now have all your goods in a zone without any hauling.

Items will not be lost, but liquids without a barrel (taken out to be cooked) will be dropped on the ground and unusable.

Sweet, thanks

Does not apply, fortunately =)
