See if I can make some more nanofibers to make the body armour cover the rest of my body.

[4] You determine most of the labs in the area have the materials needed to create nanofibers. If you remember correctly, there's one such lab just outside the station.

I sit down and admire my powered armor plans. Such complexity is the true mark of a Scientist!

[1] You have a sudden realization when you begin admiring your plans. They're not nearly complex enough! [5] You quickly rewrite the thing to be more confusing. [-4 to constructing this invention, wow]

Fire my nanogun at Ludd from the floor.

[5-1=4] You bring up the nanogun and aim it at Ludd with shaking arms. [Dodge:5+1=6] He laughs and simply moves aside.

Stare the thief down using power eyes. Then disregard him like trash and look for a Cultist to combat.

[3] You fix the thief with your most fearsome gaze. He isn't affected much, though, and wanders off after a while. [5] You run through the train like a madman, screaming something about cultists.

Keep with the city guard for safety reasons, rebuild the Carbine.

[4] You break down the Carbine, unfortunately wrecking some pieces of it in the process. You still salvage some metal and parts from it and begin to build. [Power:2] There's something wrong with the reload system that reduces the speed of the accelerated particle, and the targeting system's a bit wonky. As a result, it's actually less powerful than it's predecessor. [Size:2] It's about the same size, though. [Functionality:5] It's also works more smoothly overall and easy-to-use. [Fuel:2] It uses up ammo with similar speed. [Rate-of-Fire:Full-Auto] You do make tremendous upgrades to it's rate of fire, perhaps good enough to compensate for the lack of stopping power.

Accelerator Carbine removed from Inventory!
Accelerator MG added to Inventory!
Mechanical Parts reduced to Some Mechanical Parts!
A Little Scrap Metal added to Inventory!

Try to remember what materials I need to create more pills while attacking Ludd/Ludd's lacky.

[1] The materials you used are, unfortunately, extremely expensive and rare. It took you years to gather the amount for just those pills. [3+2=5] You move towards [1] Ludd confidently, dropping into a familiar attack stance and aiming for Ludd's heart. [Dodge:3-1+1=3] He's still focused on Tor and doesn't see you coming. [BP:2] Your blade races towards his chest and [Damage:6-1=5] sinks deep with a very satisfying splash of blood. Your vibroblade rips his ribcage open from the inside, shattering bone and tearing apart muscle. Ludd doubles over, staring at the blade inside him with disbelief. You pull the blade out and let him fall. Amazingly, he's still fighting on and staying conscious. Ludd begins dragging himself towards the door again. [1+2=3] You walk up to him and raise your blade. [Dodge:6+1=6] Despite his horrible wounds, he rolls away from your attack and brings you down with a well-placed kick. Before you can get back up, he's already hurrying towards the door.

---

Background Roll: [4] The heavy engines stop right overhead. After a few minutes, a weary-looking man in a dark blue air uniform and a squad of city troopers rush. This must be the Grand Admiral Tbasi Nirur found out about, though it's not clear if he's the only VIP you're expecting. When he comes downstairs, a swarm of doctors and medics surround him until he waves them away. The crowd focuses their complaints at him, seeing an obvious figure of authority. Abruptly, heavy gunfire begins just overhead, accompanied by what seem to be missile strikes. The lights on the station briefly flicker before returning to normal.

Quote from: Station Soldiers
Lieutenant, move these people onto that train.
[2+2=4] The Grand Admiral is used to leading, and has no trouble shouting down the crowds. Soon, all but a few invidiuals are back inside the train. Most of the soldiers follow, and only a few return upstairs to watch the entrance.

Quote from: Ludd's Men
To hell with this, let's get out of here!

[3+1][1][6] The heavily wounded cultist and Ludd push themselves out of the door, holding eachother up. The third trips and falls, and is left alone to face the two invincible madmen. Ludd and his friend are bound to bump into other cultists soon, so there will be reinforcements soon.

Quickly head over to that machine that was in the room, break it down and remake it into a (Hopefully portable) cell regenerator machine.

-4! If I make the powered armor while badly injured, I might take out half a city block with me.

I build blueprints for a portable shield generator, which will eventually go on my powered armor.

I calm down, then try to combine my Nunchciks with my Cakehat and Skarmee com device, to make a Cakehelmet with display and Skarmee's AI box. Make sure I remove Skarmee's card as to not damage it, and to base my new invention off of the prints I made a while back.

Download a city map off the computers. See if I can make the cannon's shells explosive.

[2] You study the central computer for a while, but can't seem to find a way to download the map. [5] You construct some explosive cannon shells for your weapon. [3] They're just as powerful, but atleast multiple people can get caught in the blast.

5 Explosive Shells added to Inventory!
Some Scrap Metal removed from Inventory!

Quickly head over to that machine that was in the room, break it down and remake it into a (Hopefully portable) cell regenerator machine.

[5] You hurry back to the device. [4] It seems to be a normal generator, cleverly disguised as something more complex by metal decorations. You quickly break it apart, [2] but don't have time to get started on a cell regenerator.

Some Scrap Metal increased to Scrap Metal in Inventory!
A Lot of Mechanical Parts added to Inventory!

If there's anything left of the machine after Tor's actions, salvage it.

[1] You try to get some parts before Tor takes them all, but trip on a piece of metal and [3][BP:4][Damage:2] twist your leg when you fall. Oww.

Left Leg: Minor Wound

I build blueprints for a portable shield generator, which will eventually go on my powered armor.

[6] You begin writing more plans, going for simple and clear instructions this time. [+3 to constructing this, bah]

Shield Generator Plans added to Inventory!

Blend in with the lab coat fellows, and try and collect information about the luddite cult and why the grand Admiral is here.

[5] You engage in idle chatter with the city scientists. [3] They don't know much, expect that they're using the train system to evacuate all the important personnel from the city. 'Luddite' cults and other similar organizations have grown in size as scientists and technology have grown in power. They're rarely a threat due to their dislike of technology. Much more dangerous are the moderates in their midst, who only want the scientists out of power, and use modern weaponry and technology in combat.

I calm down, then try to combine my Nunchciks with my Cakehat and Skarmee com device, to make a Cakehelmet with display and Skarmee's AI box. Make sure I remove Skarmee's card as to not damage it, and to base my new invention off of the prints I made a while back.

[5+1=6] You stop in a quiet compartment and begin working. [Power:6] The helmet is an improvement over all of the three inventions, hosting a powerful, high-tech visor, a crystal-clear connection with Skarmee, thick, advanced armor plating and a wide variety of shiny, exciting gadgets. [Size:2] You somehow manage to actually make the Cakehelmet smaller and more compact. It still fits over your head, if only barely. [Functionality:1] The downside of shiny, exciting prototype gadgets and machinery? They don't actually work. The armour plating jams every two seconds, you can barely speak to Skarmee a minute without the connection cutting off and the visor is never, ever clear. [Fuel:5] It's very efficient in it's use of energy, thankfully.

Skarmee Comm Device removed from Inventory!
Scrap Nun-chucks removed from Inventory!
Magnificent Hat removed from Inventory!
Cakehelmet added to Inventory!

Background Roll: [6] More people hurry inside the station, and are guided down by the soldiers stationed in the aboveground section. They are helping someone down, seeming very agitated about something. As he comes closer, you recognize his face instantly - the hard, black eyes, rounded face and powerful build - it's the Governor. The entire station salutes when he comes in. He ignores them, striding across the room to Tbasi. You pick out some of the conversation, like 'What about Miss Chidin? And the ministers - most of the Cabinet is still unaccounted for?', which the Governor answers with a weary grunt. It appears the train is going to be leaving soon - with or without you.

I'll stop making blueprints for a while, but I wouldn't have to if I had computer parts. I blame the anti-science crazies.

I mentally prepare myself to drive the train, just in case they have me do it after helping to get it operational again. I'd die of embarrassment and court-martialing if I accidentally broke something at an important moment.
