This is again bullshit. The rules are available free from the publisher themselves. Technically what FUMBBL is doing is illegal, yes, because they're distributing a client that contains trademarks (thinks like representative artwork and copyrighted names, like 'Skaven' and what have you) that belong to a company that they don't have the express legal consent to use. But nothing about having a physical rulebook or a box set of Blood Bowl alleviates or annuls any of that. I don't know where you read or gathered this opinion, but it is wrong. Stop parroting it.

Then it's lying. The original developer probably either coded it when Blood Bowl rulebooks only came as physical copies, or was an idiot. That disclaimer absolves them of as much legal worries as shouting "NO TAGS BACK" after starting a fight with a police officer. Just trust me on this. The rules for Blood Bowl are now free. That client is technically illegal. Nothing about owning a physical copy of the book or models or half-arsed disclaimers or ANYTHING changes that. In fact, didn't they get a cease-and-desist from Games Workshop after the 3D Blood Bowl game came out? It was either FUMBBL or another Blood Bowl client.

Either way, let's just play some Blood Bowl.

I'd love to, but I'm too daft to figure out how. I mean, I made a "league" team... are there no subdivisions... it's just one big league with hundreds thousands of teams? I looked for a Dwarf Fortress/Bay12 group, thinking that might provide some structure, but found nothing. So, I feel like I must be missing something....
