Go back to 31.12. It is the light. It would please Armok.
The light of 31.12 is dim, that of 40d shines the brightest.

All of 40d's light is from its military, 31.12 has light in all aspects but military.

And blood tracking.

Nah, I prefer 31.12 military much more. That old micromanagement hell to make your champion to equip the artifact you want? No way, thanks. And new training schedules and toggleable patrols are a salvation, I no longer have to select each single squad and point in exact direction when someone bad appears.

And ability to equip civillian dwarves with armor is a life-saver too.
