The map of Japan, we're representing Oda which is currently selected. Each section of the map has several different territories; all of which have to be taken over before we can take the piece.

Yes, that does say "impregnable lolicon". Some areas will have different options, the flintlock factory, Monk sects, and the Miko
brothel Institute are a few examples.
This is the battle screen, all actions are turn-based which you can see in the horizontal bar in the center of the screen. I'll elaborate more on this later, but for now the ways to win a battle are:
1. Annihilate all enemy captains.
2. Have more morale (top bar) than the enemy before time runs out (Vertical bar in the center).
3. And there are a few special exceptions.
Our captain screen, complete with captains. Each captain has their own stats, troops, and class, which'll influence your combat strategy. You only start with a few, but you can recruit more, get some from events, and even recruit captured enemy captains; that is unless Rance gets to them first.

As for the story, Rance replaces Nobunaga because
Nobu's a total wimp who can't so much as pat his sister on the head without the entire army knowing that he's burning up from a fever due to his weak health he feels like it; and good 'ol Nobu agrees. God help us.
