@Az: We're always taking more players, as far as I know.

Which party roles are currently fulfilled, even if only partially so?

The OP's pretty accurate about listing the general roles (my spiked chain fighter is listed as "debuff", for example), but since not everybody shows up every time, feel free to be redundant. I don't think we have a bard, but I could just be wrong.

I'm the party-face with some minor intimidate based debuffing. But a buffing-based bard is missing, now that we don't have Fool anymore.

Maelrigar is my water orc battle sorcerer, he does combat things and is the occasional 'bad cop' face of the party. Brick Von Sizzleblitz is my ridiculous attempt at a healer.

We are always taking in new players. ALWAYS! Welcome aboard!

There will be a session today, but... due to family/friend scheduling weirdnesses, we'll be starting 1 hour later than usual. So, roughly 4 hours from now.

You're welcome to play anything you like, of course, but if you really want to know what the party currently lacks:

1. Underworlders
2. People who are good at pretending to be Underworlders.

I just noticed a rather extraordinaire lack of wizards among the active players... Have I gone stark raving mad or is that correct?

I am a wizard. Kinda.  :P

Some real wizards would be nice though.

I just realized that...

Hey, I haven't been around the game long...

So, session today?

Wow, that's weird. When we started we were basically just a party of sorcerers and wizards, with a casting cleric for healing. (And of course a battle sorcerer tank.)

But yeah, we do actually seem to be low on combat casters now.

There is a session today, in a little under 3 hours.

Ok, thanks. Yeah, now to think about it, we could definitely use a full wizard/sorcerer. Sure, brick can make black dragons not care about the party with calm emotions, but he can't blast them out of the sky.

(Maelrigar can, but I'm trying to hold back from solo encounters for the time being.  :P))

Am I allowed to use Complete Arcane, at least on case by case basis?

When a wizard has to be the blaster they have already failed in fulfilling their role. The best choice for rampant blasting is a sorcerer.

Point is, we may need a wizard who's not a pacifist (Brick), but the main job probably shouldn't be blasting. We have Vaba for that. (Archery Ranger)

Ooh, nice... The orb spells from conjuration look good, and divination/abjuration is great for buffs/debuffs.
